The Holy Spirit (Ruach ha Qodesh)
My original intent was to show the Hebrew name, “Ruach ha Qodesh” throughout The Exalted Name Bible™, whenever the Hebrew text actually Named The Holy Spirit. As time passed, however, I became convinced that making this change was not in the best interest of The ENB, because it did not add to our understanding or comprehension of His Word.
My desire to use His Hebrew Name occurred, because significant acts and deeds took place whenever the “Ruach” (Spirit) of Elohim was mentioned. Furthermore, by observing how His Name is used throughout Scripture, His Presence actually emerged, especially as He is seen in relationship to The Father and The Son. It’s true! Actually seeing His Name throughout the whole of Scripture shone a light upon Him, which may have been dimmed for many eyes. (And YES, I am using THAT TRINITY WORD appropriately and intentionally).
Sadly, the phrase/name “Holy Spirit” does not evoke anything ‘special’ in the minds of many people, which is why His very existence is questioned. It’s true! The existence of The Third Person of The Trinity is often ignored or contested. In utilizing the fullness of His Name, however, throughout the Whole of Scripture, I was better able to see His presence in profound measure.
As time has passed though, and as I completed the edit process of the Books of Scripture, I wrestled with the fact that IF I were to change the word, “Spirit” to “Ruach”, then I also needed to change every reference to a ‘sprit’ (to read ‘ruach’). The result of that change, however, became a distraction. Instead of clarity, references to “ruach’s” and Ruach ha Qodesh became confusing.
In The Exalted Name Bible™ introduction page, I told you that I was not seeking to “Hebrew-ize” Scripture. Well, I am not! Using His Exalted Name throughout this work is a very powerful gain to the Whole of Scripture, but I cannot say the same effect takes place with the introduction of His name: “Ruach ha Qodesh”. Therefore, His Title / NAME will remain as we know it. The one change I am making, though, is that the “The”, which proceeds His Name, will always be capitalized, for He fully is “The Holy Spirit”.
He is not The Father, nor is He The Son… They are ONE in Purpose; ONE in Mannerism; One in Holiness, but They are NOT THE SAME PERSON. Each Person within The Trinity has a very unique Personality, and Each Deserve our loving respect and homage.
As I completed the entire first Edit of The Exalted Name Bible™, and as the work was fully available online, I returned to the edit process for, The Letters of Faith, where you will find the fullness of “The Holy Spirit” represented within those pages as well.
It is my sincere prayer that The Holy Spirit will anoint you NOW, and bless you with a calming peace, joy and knowledge of the fullness of His presence. I also pray that His gifts abound in your life and ministry; for the glory of our Master, Messiah and King!
