2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 1

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 1

Paul, an apostle of Messiah YEHOSHUA by the will of Elohim, according to the promise of life that is in Messiah YEHOSHUA,
2 to Timothy, my beloved child,  Grace, mercy and peace from El the Father and Messiah YEHOSHUA our Master.
3 I thank Elohim, Whom I serve with a clear conscience from my forefathers, that without ceasing I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day,
4 earnestly desiring to see you, recalling your tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 remembering the sincere faith that is in you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded that is in you as well.
6 For this reason I remind you to rekindle the miraculous power of Elohim that is in you by the laying on of my hands.
7 For Elohim has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control.
8 Do not be ashamed, therefore, of the testimony of our Master, or of me His prisoner.  But be a partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of Elohim,
9 Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Messiah YEHOSHUA before time began,
10 but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Deliverer YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, Who abolished death, and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel;
11 unto which I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher to the Gentiles.
12 For this reason I also suffer these things.  Nevertheless, I am not ashamed, for I know Whom I have believed, and I am confident that He is able to keep that which I have entrusted to Him until that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which you have heard from me in faith and love, which are in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
14 Guard, through The Holy Spirit Who dwells in us, the good thing that was committed unto you.
15 Know this:  All who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 The Master grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chains,
17 but when he was in Rome, he diligently searched and found me.
18 The Master grant to him that he may find mercy from the Master on that day; and you know very well how much he ministered at Ephesus.

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 2

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 2

You therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
2 And the things that you have heard of me through many witnesses, the same entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
3 You therefore, endure hardness as a good soldier of YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach.
4 No soldier entangles themselves in the affairs of everyday life, so that they may please the one who chose them to be a soldier.
5 And if anyone contends in competitive games, they are not crowned unless they compete lawfully.
6 The farmer that labors much must be the first to partake of the fruit.
7 Consider what I say, for the Master will give you understanding in all things.
8 Remember that YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my gospel,
9 through which I suffer hardship, even unto bondage as a criminal; but the word of Elohim is not in bondage.
10 For this reason I endure all things for the sake of the elect, so that they may also obtain the salvation that is in Messiah YEHOSHUA with eternal glory.
11 It is a faithful statement then:  If we die with Him, we will also live with Him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He also will deny us;
13 if we believe not, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
14 Remember these things, and solemnly testify in the presence of Elohim that they not strive over words that are of no profit, but which subvert the hearers.
15 Study to show yourself approved of Elohim, as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dissecting the word of truth.
16 But avoid profane and fruitless discussions, which lead to further irreverence,
17 and whose words will spread like gangrene; of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,
18 who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection has already happened, and they subvert the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of Elohim stands sure, having this seal:  The Master knows those who are His, and:  Let everyone who names the Name of the Messiah abstain from iniquity.
20 Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also vessels of wood and of clay; some to honor, and some to dishonor.
21 Therefore, if anyone purges themselves from these, they will be a vessel for honor; sanctified and useful to the Master; prepared for every good work.
22 But flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call upon the Master from a pure heart.
23 But avoid foolish and stupid questions, knowing that they give birth to conflicts.
24 The Master’s slave must not fight, but be gentle to all, able to teach; patient;
25 in humility instruct those in opposition, lest Elohim grant them repentance unto the acknowledgement of the truth,
26 and they recover themselves from the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 3

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 3

Know this also, that in the last days perilous times will come,
2 for mankind will be lovers of their own self; covetous, boastful, proud, blasphemous, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy;
3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderous; without self-control, savage, despisers of those that are good,
4 traitorous, rash, conceited; lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim;
5 having a form of reverence, but denying its power.  Avoid such as these!
6 For of this sort are those who slither into households, and captivate weak women laden with sins, led away by various lusts,
7 always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, these also oppose the truth.  They are people of corrupt minds, who are worthless in regard to the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further, for their folly will be wholly evident to all, just as theirs was also.
10 But you fully know my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,
11 persecutions, afflictions; such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured.  And out of them all, the Master delivered me!
12 And now, all who desire to live reverently in Messiah YEHOSHUA will be persecuted.
13 And evil people and seducers will proceed toward more evil, deceiving and being deceived.
14 But you, continue in the things that you have learned and are assured of, knowing from Whom you have learned,
15 and that from childhood you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto deliverance through faith, which is in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
16 All Scripture is inspired by Elohim, and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
17 that the people of Elohim may be perfect; thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 4

2 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 4

I charge therefore, in the presence of Elohim and of the Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, Who shall judge the living and the dead at His appearing, and His kingdom:
2 Preach the word.  Be ready in season, and out of season.  Reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, will heap to themselves teachers who will tickle their ears,
4 and will indeed turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to fables.
5 But you, be sober in all things.  Endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry.
6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
7 I have fought the good fight; I have finished the course; I have kept the faith.
8 From here on there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Master, the Righteous Judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who love His appearing.
9 Be diligent to come to me soon,
10 for Demas, having loved this present world, has forsaken me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; Titus to Dalmatia.
11 Only Luke is with me.  Take Mark, and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
12 But Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
13 The cloak that I left in Troas with Carpus, bring when you come; and the books, especially the parchments.
14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm.  The Master will repay him according to his deeds;
15 of whom beware also, for he has greatly opposed our words.
16 At my first defense none stood beside me, but all forsook me; may it not be reckoned against them.
17 But the Master stood with me, and empowered me, that through me the preaching might be fully known, so that all the Gentiles might hear.  And I was delivered out of the lion’s mouth.
18 And the Master will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever.  Amen!
19 Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus.
20 Erastus remained at Corinth, but Trophimus I left ill in Miletus.
21 Be diligent to come before winter.  Eubulus greets you, as do Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
22 The Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach be with your Spirit.  Grace be with you.  Amen!
