PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 1

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 1

Paul and Timothy, servants of Messiah YEHOSHUA, to all the saints in Messiah YEHOSHUA who are in Philippi, along with the overseers and deacons,
2 Grace to you and peace from El our Father and the Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach.
3 I thank my Elohim in every remembrance of you,
4 always in every prayer of mine, joyfully making requests for you,
5 because of your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 confident of this very thing, that He Who has begun a good work in you will fulfill it until the day of YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach.
7 Even as it is just and right for me to feel these things for you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my bondage, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of my grace.
8 For Elohim is my witness, how greatly I  long for you all with the heart of YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach.
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all judgment,
10 so that you may approve the things that are excellent; so that you may be pure and without offense until the day of Messiah,
11 being filled with the fruit of righteousness, which comes through YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, to the glory and praise of Elohim.
12 But I want you to understand brethren, that the things that have happened to me have turned out unto the furtherance of the gospel,
13 so that my bondage in Messiah has become manifest within the entire palace, and to all others;
14 and that many of the brethren, trusting in the Master through my bondage, are more boldly speaking the word of Elohim without fear.
15 Some, indeed, proclaim Messiah even from envy and strife, but some also from good will.
16 Those that preach Messiah out of contention, without sincerity, suppose they add affliction to my bondage,
17 but the others in love, knowing that I am sent for the defense of the gospel.
18 What then? Albeit, in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Messiah is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice.  Yes, and I will rejoice!
19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance, through your prayers and the provision of The Holy Spirit of YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach,
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope; that I will not be ashamed in anything, but with all boldness, Messiah will even now, as always, be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For to me, to live is Messiah and to die is gain.
22 For if I live in the flesh, this is fruitful labor, and I do not know which to choose.
23 But I am gripped by both, having the desire to depart and to be with Messiah, which is very much better;
24 yet to abide on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
25 And having this confidence, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy in the faith,
26 so that your rejoicing in me may be more abundant in YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach through my coming to you again.
27 Only let your conversation be worthy of the gospel of Messiah, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear of you that you stand fast in one Spirit, with one mind, striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28 in no way frightened by adversaries, which is to them a sign of destruction, but to you of salvation; and that from Elohim.
29 For to you it has been granted for Messiah’s sake, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
30 having the same conflict that you saw in me, and now hear of through me.

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 2

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 2

If therefore there is any consolation in Messiah, if any comfort in love, if any fellowship of The Holy Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
2 fulfill my joy, and so be like minded, having the same love; of one accord; of one mind.
3 Do nothing from strife or vanity, but with all humility, esteem one another as more important than yourselves,
4 looking not to your own selves, but also to the things of others.
5 And let this mind be in you, which also was in Messiah YEHOSHUA,
6 Who, being in the form of Elohim, did not suppose equality with Elohim a thing to be plundered,
7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave; being made in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in the form of a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient unto death, even death on the cross.
9 Therefore also, Elohim has highly exalted Him, and given Him the Name which is above every name,
10 that at the Name of YEHOSHUA every knee should bow; of those in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth,
11 and that every tongue will confess that  YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach is Master, to the glory of El the Father.
12 Therefore my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your deliverance with fear and trembling.
13 For it is Elohim Who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without grumbling or discussion,
15 that you may be blameless and harmless.  The children of Elohim, blameless in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;
16 holding forth the Word of life, that in the day of Messiah I may rejoice, because I did not run in vain nor labor in vain.
17 Yes, and if I am being offered as a sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
18 For the same cause also have joy, and rejoice with me.
19 But I hope in Master YEHOSHUA to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be comforted when I know of your state.
20 For I have no one of like mind who will genuinely care for your welfare;
21 for they all seek their own interests, not the things of Messiah YEHOSHUA.
22 But you know the proof of him, that he served me, as a child his father, in furthering the gospel.
23 Therefore, I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how it goes with me;
24 and I trust in the Master that I myself also shall come shortly.
25 Yet I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion in labor, and fellow soldier; but who is also your messenger who ministered to my needs.
26 For he longed after you all, and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.
27 For indeed he was sick unto death, but Elohim had mercy on him, and not on him only, but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 I have sent him therefore more carefully, that when you see him again, you may rejoice and that I may be less sorrowful.
29 Receive him therefore in the Master, with all joy, and hold such as he in high reputation,
30 because for the work of Messiah, he drew near unto death, disregarding his life, to complete what was lacking in your service to me.

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 3

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 3

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Master.  To write the same things to you is no trouble to me, but for you it is safe.
2 Beware of dogs; beware of evil workers; beware of the false circumcision,
3 for we are the circumcised who worship Elohim in The Holy Spirit, and who rejoice in Messiah YEHOSHUA, and put no confidence in the flesh,
4 although I might have confidence even in the flesh.  If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more:
5 Circumcised the eighth day of the stock of Israel; of the tribe of Benyehmin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee;
6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the assembly; as to the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 But whatever things were gain to me, those I have counted as loss for Messiah.
8 On the contrary, I count all things to be loss in view of the excellency of knowing Messiah  YEHOSHUA my Master, for Whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but dung so that I may gain Messiah;
9 and may be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Messiah, the righteousness of Elohim by faith;
10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed unto His death,
11 if by any means I might attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not as though I have already attained it, or am already perfect, but I follow after, so that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended by Messiah YEHOSHUA.
13 Brethren, I do not consider myself as having apprehended it yet, but one thing, forgetting the things behind, and reaching forth unto those things that are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of Elohim in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, let us be thus minded; and if in anything you have any other thought, Elohim will reveal even this to you.
16 Nevertheless, let us keep walking by that same standard to which we have already attained.
17 Brethren, be imitators of me, and mark those who walk just as you have seen in us,
18 for many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, who are enemies of the cross of Messiah;
19 whose end is destruction; whose el is their belly; whose glory is in their shame; whose minds are on earthly things.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we look for the Deliverer, the Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach;
21 Who will transform our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working which He is able; even to subject all things unto Himself.

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 4

PHILIPPIANS:  CHAPTER 4

Therefore my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown; so stand firm in the Master my beloved.
2 I exhort Euodias and I exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Master.
3 Yes, true yoke partners, I beseech you also to help these women who have labored with me in the gospel; with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice in the Master always; again I will say, rejoice!
5 Let your gentleness be known to all mankind.  The Master is at hand.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto Elohim.
7 And the peace of Elohim which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
8 Finally brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is reputable, if there is any virtue and if anything praiseworthy, consider these things.
9 The things you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do, and the Elohim of peace will be with you.
10 But I rejoiced in the Master greatly, that now at last your care of me has flourished again.  Indeed, you were concerned, but you lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
12 I know humiliation, and I also know prosperity.  In all things I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry; both of having abundance and suffering need.
13 I can do all things through Messiah Who strengthens me.
14 Nevertheless, you have done well to partake in my tribulation.
15 You also know, Philippians, that at the beginning of the gospel, after I departed from Macedonia, no assembly shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone,
16 for even in Thessalonica you sent more than once for my needs.
17 Not because I seek the gift, but I seek for the profit that may abound to your account.
18 But I have all, and abound.  I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you; a fragrant aroma; an acceptable sacrifice agreeable to Elohim.
19 But my Elohim will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Messiah YEHOSHUA.
20 Now unto our El and Father:  Glory forever and ever.  Amen.
21 Greet every saint in Messiah YEHOSHUA.  The brethren who are with me greet you.
22 All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar’s household.
23 The grace of the Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach be with you all.  Amen!
