3 John

3rd Letter from John to “The Beloved Gaius”

3 JOHN:

3 JOHN:

The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
2 Beloved, I pray above all things that you may prosper, and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.
3 For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, even as how you are walking in truth.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
5 Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren, and for strangers,
6 who have testified of your love before the church; whom you have aided on their journey for Elohim.  In this you have done well.
7 For they went forth for His Name’s sake, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
8 We therefore, ought to receive such, that we might be fellow workers with the truth.
9 I wrote something to the church, but Diotrephes, who is fond of being first among them, does not receive what we say.
10 For this reason, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, berating us with malicious words.  And not content with this, neither does he receive the brethren, and forbids those who would, casting them out of the church.
11 Beloved, do not follow that which is evil, but that which is good.  Those who do good are of Elohim; those who do evil have not seen Elohim.
12 Demetrius has a good witness from all, and from the truth itself.  Yes, and we also bear witness; and you know that our testimony is true.
13 I had many things to write to you, but I am not willing to write to you with pen and ink,
14 but I trust that I will see you shortly, and we will speak face to face.
15 Peace be to you.  The friends greet you.  Greet the friends by name.
