LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 1

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 1

And YEHOWAH called to Moses and spoke to him from the tabernacle of meeting, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When anyone presents a sacrifice to YEHOWAH, you shall present your offering of the animals from the herd or from the flock.
3 If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, they shall present it, a male without blemish; they shall present it at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, that they may be accepted before YEHOWAH.
4 And they shall put their hand upon the head of the burnt offering, that it may be accepted for them to make atonement on their behalf.
5 And they shall slay the young bull before YEHOWAH, and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall offer up the blood and sprinkle the blood round about on the altar that is at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting.
6 He shall then skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.
7 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8 And Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall arrange the pieces, the head and the fat over the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar,
9 but its bowels and its legs they shall wash with water, and the priest shall smoke all of it on the altar for a burnt offering; a sacrifice by fire, a sweet scent unto YEHOWAH.
10 But if the offering is from the flock, of the sheep or of the goats, for a burnt offering, they shall present it a male without blemish.
11 And they shall slay it on the side of the altar northward before YEHOWAH, and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood round about on the altar.
12 And they shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood that is on the fire that is on the altar,
13 but the bowels and the legs they shall wash with water, and the priest shall offer all of it, and smoke it on the altar, it is a burnt offering;  a sacrifice by fire, a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
14 But if the offering to YEHOWAH is a burnt offering of birds, then they shall present their offering from the turtledoves or from young pigeons,
15 and the priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head and offer it up in smoke on the altar; its blood is to be drained out on the side of the altar.
16 They shall also take away its crop with its feathers and cast it beside the altar on the east, to the place of the ashes.
17 And they shall cleave it with its wings, but shall not sever it.  And the priest shall smoke it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire; it is a burnt offering, a sacrifice by fire of a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 2

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 2

And when anyone presents a bloodless sacrifice as a sacrifice to YEHOWAH, his offering shall be of fine flour, and they shall pour oil upon it and put frankincense upon it.
2 And they shall present it to Aaron’s sons, the priests, and they shall take from it a handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with its frankincense, and the priest shall offer up in smoke its memorial portion on the altar; a sacrifice by fire of a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
3 And the remainder of the bloodless offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; a thing most holy, of the offerings to YEHOWAH by fire.
4 And if you present a bloodless offering, a sacrifice baked in an oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers spread with oil.
5 If you present a bloodless offering, a sacrifice from the pan, it shall be of fine flour, unleavened, mixed with oil,
6 and you shall break it into bits and pour oil on it; it is a bloodless offering.
7 And if your offering is a bloodless offering, fried in a pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.
8 When you present the bloodless offering, made of these things to YEHOWAH, it shall be presented to the priests and they shall bring it to the altar.
9 The priest shall then take up from the bloodless offering its memorial portion, and shall offer it up in smoke on the altar; a sacrifice by fire of a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
10 The remainder of the bloodless offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; a thing most holy, of the offerings to YEHOWAH by fire.
11 No bloodless offering that you present to YEHOWAH shall be made with leaven, for you shall not offer up in smoke any leaven or any honey as a sacrifice by fire to YEHOWAH.
12 As for the offering of the first fruits, you shall present them to YEHOWAH, but they shall not ascend for a sweet scent upon the altar.
13 Every bloodless offering you present shall be seasoned with salt, so that the salt of the covenant of your Elohim shall not be lacking from your bloodless offering; all your bloodless offerings shall be presented with salt.
14 And if you present a bloodless offering of first fruits to YEHOWAH, you shall present green ears of corn roasted in the fire; beaten corn of first fruits as a bloodless offering.
15 And you shall put oil on it and lay incense on it; it is a bloodless offering.
16 And the priest shall offer up in smoke its memorial portion, part of the beaten corn and its oil, with all its incense, as a sacrifice by fire to YEHOWAH.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 3

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 3

And if the offering is a sacrifice of a peace offering presented from the herd, whether male or female, they shall present it without blemish before YEHOWAH.
2 They shall put their hand on the head of their offering and slay it at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood round about on the altar.
3 And they shall present from the sacrifice of the peace offering, an offering by fire unto YEHOWAH, the fat that covers the bowels and all the fat that is on the bowels,
4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys.
5 And Aaron’s sons shall offer up in smoke on the altar the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire; it is an offering by fire of a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
6 And if their offering for a sacrifice of a peace offering unto YEHOWAH is from the flock, they shall offer it, male or female, without blemish.
7 If they are presenting a lamb for their offering, then they shall present it before YEHOWAH,
8 and they shall put their hand on the head of the offering and slay it before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle its blood round about on the altar.
9 And they shall present from the sacrifice of the peace offering as a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH, its fat, the whole rump, which they shall remove close to the backbone, and the fat that covers the bowels, and all the fat that is on the bowels,
10 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver, which they shall remove with the kidneys.
11 And the priest shall offer it up in smoke on the altar; food of the sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH.
12 And if their offering is a goat, then they shall present it before YEHOWAH,
13 and they shall put their hand on its head and slay it before the tabernacle of meeting, and the Sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood round about on the altar.
14 And from it they shall present their offering as a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH, the fat that covers the bowels and all the fat that is on the bowels,
15 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver, which they shall remove with the kidneys.
16 And the priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar; food of the sacrifice by fire for a sweet scent.  All the fat is YEHOWAH’S.
17 It is a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, you shall eat neither fat nor blood.'”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 4

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 4

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If a person sins unwittingly against any of the commandments that YEHOWAH has commanded not to be done, and commits any of them;
3 if the priest that is anointed sins, according to the sin of the people, then let him present to YEHOWAH a young bull without blemish as a sin offering.
4 He shall bring the bull to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting before YEHOWAH, and he shall put his hand on the head of the bull and slay the bull before YEHOWAH.
5 And the anointed priest is to take some of the blood of the bull and bring it to the tabernacle of meeting,
6 and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before YEHOWAH, before the veil of the sanctuary.
7 The priest shall also put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense that is before YEHOWAH in the tabernacle of meeting; and all the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, that is at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting.
8 And he shall take from it all the fat of the bull of the sin offering; the fat that covers the bowels, and all the fat that is on the bowels,
9 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the kidneys,
10 as it is taken from the ox of the sacrifice of peace offerings, and the priest is to offer them up in smoke on the altar of burnt offering.
11 But the hide of the bull and all its flesh, and its head and its legs, and its bowels and its dung,
12 that is, the whole bull, he is to take forth outside the camp to a clean place, where the ashes are heaped, and burn it on wood with fire; where the ashes are heaped it shall be burned.
13 And if the whole assembly of Israel sins in ignorance, and the matter escapes the notice of the assembly, and they do against any of My commands, which YEHOWAH has commanded not to be done, and they become guilty;
14 when the sin that they have done becomes known, then the assembly shall offer a young bull of the herd for a sin offering and present it before the tabernacle of meeting.
15 And the elders of the assembly shall lay their hands upon the head of the bull before YEHOWAH, and the bull shall be slain before YEHOWAH.
16 Then the anointed priest is to bring some of the blood of the bull to the tabernacle of meeting,
17 and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before YEHOWAH, before the veil.
18 And he shall put of the blood on the horns of the altar that is before YEHOWAH in the tabernacle of meeting; and all the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting,
19 and he shall remove all its fat from it, and offer it up in smoke on the altar.
20 And he shall do with the bull as he did with the bull of the sin offering; thus he shall do with it.  So the priest shall make atonement for them, and they will be forgiven.
21 And he is to take forth the bull outside the camp, and burn it as he burned the first bull; it is the sin offering for the assembly.
22 When a leader sins and unintentionally does any one of all the things that YEHOWAH his Elohim has commanded not to be done, and he becomes guilty,
23 if the sin that he has committed is made known to him, he shall present for his offering a goat, a male without blemish.
24 He shall put his hand on the head of the male goat and slay it in the place where they slay the burnt offering before YEHOWAH; it is a sin offering.
25 And the priest is to take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering.
26 And its fat he shall offer up in smoke on the altar, just as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings.  Thus the priest shall make atonement for him in regard to his sin, and he will be forgiven.
27 And if any of the people of the land sin in ignorance, and do anything that YEHOWAH has commanded not to be done, and becomes guilty,
28 and the sin that they have committed is made known to them, then they shall bring for their offering a goat, a female without blemish, for the sin that they have committed.
29 And they shall put their hand on the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering at the place of the burnt offering.
30 And the priest shall take of its blood with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and all its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.
31 And he shall take away all its fat, just as the fat was taken from the sacrifice of peace offerings, and the priest shall offer it up in smoke on the altar for a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.  Thus the priest shall make atonement for them, and they will be forgiven.
32 And if they bring a lamb as their offering for a sin offering, they shall bring it a female without blemish,
33 and they shall put their hand on the head of the sin offering, and slay it for a sin offering in the place where they slay the burnt offering.
34 And the priest is to take of the blood of the sin offering, with his finger, and put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and all its blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar.
35 And he shall take away all its fat, just as the fat of the lamb was taken from the sacrifice of the peace offerings, and the priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar, according to the offerings by fire made unto YEHOWAH.  Thus the priest shall make atonement for them in regard to their sin that they have committed, and they will be forgiven.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 5

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 5

And if a person sins, and another swears an oath as a witness, whether they have seen or known, if they do not testify, they will bear the guilt.
2 Or if a person touches any unclean thing, whether a carcass of an unclean beast, or the carcass of unclean cattle, or a carcass of unclean creeping things, though it is hidden from them, they also are unclean and guilty.
3 Or if they touch human uncleanness, of whatever uncleanness a human becomes unclean, and it is hidden from him, and then he comes to know of it, he will be guilty.
4 Or if a person swears in anger with his lips, to do evil or to do good, in whatever matter a person may speak in anger with an oath, and it is hidden from them, and they then come to know it, they will be guilty in one of these.
5 And it shall be when they become guilty in one of these, that they shall confess that in which they have sinned,
6 and they shall also present their guilt offering to YEHOWAH for the sin that they have committed:  A female from the flock; a lamb or a goat as a sin offering.  And the priest shall make atonement on their behalf for their sin.
7 But if they are unable to acquire a lamb, then they shall bring to YEHOWAH their guilt offering for that in which they have sinned:  Two turtledoves or two young pigeons; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.
8 And they shall bring them to the priest, who shall present that which is for the sin offering first, and shall pinch its head at the front of its neck, but he shall not sever it.
9 And he shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar, while the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar; it is a sin offering.
10 And he shall offer the second as a burnt offering according to the ordinance.  And the priest will make atonement on their behalf for the sin that they have committed, and it will be forgiven them.
11 But if they are unable to present two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then their offering for that which they have sinned shall be the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering; they shall not put oil on it, nor place incense on it, for it is a sin offering.
12 And they shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as its memorial portion, and offer it up in smoke on the altar, with the offerings of YEHOWAH by fire; it is a sin offering.
13 And the priest shall make atonement for them concerning the sin which they have committed from one of these, and it will be forgiven them; and the remainder shall be the priest’s, like the bloodless offering.'”
14 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
15 “If a person acts unfaithfully and sins in ignorance against YEHOWAH’S holy things, then they shall bring their guilt offering to YEHOWAH:  A ram without blemish from the flock, according to your valuation in silver by shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a guilt offering,
16 and they shall make restitution for that which they have sinned against the holy thing, and shall add to it a fifth part of it, and give it to the priest.  And the priest shall then make atonement for them with the ram of the guilt offering, and it will be forgiven them.
17 And if a person sins and does any of the things that YEHOWAH has commanded not to be done, though they are unaware, still they are guilty and shall bear their punishment.
18 And they shall bring a ram without blemish from the flock, according to your valuation, as a guilt offering.  And the priest shall make atonement for them concerning their inadvertent transgression in which they sinned, and it will be forgiven them;
19 it is a guilt offering; they were certainly guilty before YEHOWAH.”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 6

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 6

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “If a person sins and acts unfaithfully against YEHOWAH, and lies to their neighbor regarding an entrusted item, or a deposit placed in their hand, or through robbery, or has deceived their neighbor,
3 or has found what was lost and lied about it and sworn falsely, so that they sin in regard to any one of the things a person may do;
4 then it shall be, when they sin and become guilty, they shall restore what they took by robbery or what they got by deceit, or the deposit that was placed in their hand, or the lost thing that they found,
5 or anything about which they swore falsely, they shall make restitution for it in full and add the fifth part more to it.  And they shall give it to the one to whom it belongs on the day they present their guilt offering.
6 And they shall bring to YEHOWAH their guilt offering; a ram without blemish from the flock, according to your valuation, for a guilt offering,
7 and the priest shall make atonement for them before YEHOWAH, and they will be forgiven for any one of the things which they may have done to incur guilt.”
8 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
9 “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘this is the law of the burnt offering:  The burnt offering shall remain on the hearth, on the altar, and the fire on the altar is to be kept burning on it, all night until the morning.
10 And the priest is to put on his linen clothes, and he shall put on underclothes next to his flesh; and he shall take up the ashes, which the fire reduces the burnt offering on the altar, and place them beside the altar.
11 Then he shall take off his clothing and put on other clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.
12 And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it.  It shall not go out, but the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall lay out the burnt offering on it, and offer up in smoke the fat portions of the peace offerings on it.
13 Fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it shall never go out!
14 And this is the law of the bloodless offering:  The Sons of Aaron shall present it before YEHOWAH, before the altar,
15 and he shall take of it his handful of the fine flour of the bloodless offering, with its oil and all the frankincense that is on the bloodless offering, and he shall offer it up in smoke on the altar; a sweet scent, as its memorial offering to YEHOWAH.
16 And the remainder of it Aaron and his sons are to eat.  With unleavened cakes it shall be eaten in a holy place; in the court of the tabernacle of meeting shall they eat it.
17 It shall not be baked with leaven.  I have given it as their share from My offerings by fire; it is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering.
18 All the males among the children of Aaron may eat of it; it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations, from the offerings by fire unto YEHOWAH.  Every one that touches them shall be holy.'”
19 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
20 “This is the offering that Aaron and his sons are to present to YEHOWAH on the day when he is anointed:  The tenth part of an ephah of fine flour as a perpetual bloodless offering; half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening.
21 In a pan it shall be made with oil.  When it is saturated with oil you shall bring it, and you shall present the bloodless offering in baked pieces as a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
22 And the priest of his sons who shall be anointed in his place shall offer it.  It is a perpetual ordinance unto YEHOWAH.  It shall be wholly burned.
23 And every bloodless offering for the priest shall be wholly burned.  It shall not be eaten.”
24 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
25 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering:  At the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before YEHOWAH; it is most holy.
26 The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it.  It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the tabernacle of meeting.
27 Whatever shall touch the flesh of it shall be holy, and when there is any sprinkled blood on the clothing, in a holy place you shall wash what was splashed on.
28 And the earthen vessel from which it was brought forth shall be broken, but if it was boiled in a copper vessel, then it shall be scoured and rinsed in water.
29 And every male among the priests may eat of it; it is most holy.
30 But no sin offering, from which any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of meeting, to make atonement in the holy place, shall be eaten; it shall be burned with fire.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 7

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 7

And this is the law of the guilt offering; it is most holy:
2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering they are to kill the guilt offering, and the blood thereof he shall sprinkle round about on the altar.
3 And he shall offer of it all its fat:  The rump and the fat that covers the bowels,
4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the lobe above the liver he shall remove with the kidneys,
5 and the priest shall offer them up in smoke on the altar as a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH; it is a guilt offering.
6 Every male among the priests shall eat of it.  It shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.
7 As the sin offering, so also is the guilt offering.  There is one law for them:  The priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.
8 And the priest who presents any man’s burnt offering, that priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering that he has presented.
9 And every bloodless offering that is cooked in the oven, and everything made in the frying pan or in a baking pan, shall belong to the priest who presents it.
10 And every bloodless offering, mixed with oil, or dry, shall belong to all the sons of Aaron; one as much as the other.
11 And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that shall be presented to YEHOWAH:
12 When anyone offers it for a thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving they shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of fine flour mixed with oil.
13 And with the sacrifice of their peace offerings for thanksgiving, they shall present their offering with cakes of leavened bread.
14 And of this they shall present one of every offering as a contribution to YEHOWAH; it shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings.
15 And the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of the offering; they shall not leave any of it over until morning.
16 But if the sacrifice of the offering be a vow or a freewill offering, it shall be eaten on the day that they offer their sacrifice, and on the next day the remainder of it may be eaten,
17 but the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned with fire.
18 If any of the flesh of the sacrifice of a peace offering is ever eaten on the third day, it will not be accepted, nor will it be regarded to his benefit.  It shall be abominable, and the person who eats of it will bear the iniquity.
19 And the flesh that touches anything unclean shall not be eaten; it shall be burned with fire.  As for other flesh, anyone who is clean may eat of it.
20 But anyone who eats the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that belong to YEHOWAH, in their uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from his people.
21 And if anyone touches anything unclean, whether human uncleanness, or an unclean animal, or any unclean abomination, and eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which belong to YEHOWAH, that person shall be cut off from his people.'”
22 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
23 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘You shall not eat any fat of an ox, or a sheep or a goat.
24 And the fat of an animal that dies of itself, and the fat of an animal torn by beasts, may be used in any other use, but you in no way shall eat it.
25 For whoever eats the fat of the animal from which a sacrifice by fire is presented to YEHOWAH, even the person who eats shall be cut off from his people.
26 And no blood shall you eat in any of your dwellings, whether if be of fowl or animal.
27 Any person who eats any blood, even that person shall be cut off from his people.'”
28 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
29 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Any one who offers a sacrifice of peace offerings unto YEHOWAH, shall present their offering to YEHOWAH from the sacrifice of his peace offerings.
30 Their own hands are to bring offerings by fire to YEHOWAH.  They shall bring the fat with the breast, so that the breast may be presented as a wave offering before YEHOWAH.
31 And the priest shall offer up the fat in smoke on the altar, but the breast shall belong to Aaron and his sons.
32 And the right shoulder from the sacrifices of your peace offerings you shall give as a heave offering to the priest.
33 And he among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, the right shoulder shall be his portion.
34 For the breast of the wave offering and the shoulder of the heave offering, I have taken from the children of Israel; from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and I have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons, by a statute forever from the children of Israel.
35 This is the portion of the anointing for Aaron, and this is the portion of the anointing for his sons, from the offerings by fire unto YEHOWAH, in that day when they present them to serve as priests into YEHOWAH,
36 which YEHOWAH had commanded to be given them from the children of Israel in the day that He anoints them.  It is an ever lasting statute throughout their generations.'”
37 This is the law of the burnt offering, the bloodless offering, the sin offering, the guilt offering and the consecration offering, and the sacrifice of peace offerings,
38 that YEHOWAH commanded Moses at Mount Sinai in the day that He commanded the children of Israel to present their offerings to YEHOWAH in the wilderness of Sinai.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 8

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 8

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the clothes, and the anointing oil, and a young bull for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread,
3 and gather together all the assembly at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting.”
4 And Moses did as YEHOWAH commanded him.  And when the assembly was gathered at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting,
5 Moses said to the assembly, “This is the thing that YEHOWAH has commanded be done.”
6 Then Moses had Aaron and his sons come near and washed them with water.
7 And he put upon him the tunic, and girded him with the sash, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him; and he girded him with the belt of the ephod, and fastened the ephod to him.
8 And he put the breastpiece upon him, and in the breastpiece he put the Urim and the Thummim.
9 And he put the turban on his head, and on the turban, at its front, he placed the golden plate, the holy crown, just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.
10 And Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and sanctified them.
11 And he sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, to sanctify them.
12 And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to sanctify him.
13 And Moses had Aaron’s sons come near and clothed them with tunics, and girded them with sashes, and bound caps upon them, just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.
14 Then he brought the young bull for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering.
15 And Moses killed it and took the blood and with his finger put some of it round about on the horns of the altar, and purified the altar.  Then he poured out the blood at the base of the altar and sanctified it, making atonement for it.
16 And he took all the fat that was on the bowels and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat; and Moses offered it up in smoke on the altar.
17 But the bull and its hide and its flesh and its dung he burned in the fire outside the camp, just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.
18 And he presented the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
19 And Moses killed it and sprinkled the blood round about on the altar.
20 And when he had cut the ram into its pieces, Moses offered up the head and the pieces and the fat in smoke.
21 And after he washed the bowels and the legs with water, Moses offered up the whole ram in smoke on the altar.  It was a burnt offering for a sweet scent; it was a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH, just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.
22 And he presented the second ram, the ram of consecration, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram,
23 and Moses killed it and took some of its blood, and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
24 And he had Aaron’s sons come near, and Moses put some of the blood on the lobe of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot, and Moses sprinkled the blood round about on the altar.
25 And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was on the bowels, and the lobe of the liver and the two kidneys and their fat, and the right shoulder,
26 and from the basket of unleavened bread that was before YEHOWAH, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of bread mixed with oil, and one wafer, and he put them on the portions of fat and on the right thigh,
27 and he put all these on the hands of Aaron, and on the hands of his sons, and presented them as a wave offering before YEHOWAH.
28 And Moses took them from their hands and offered them up in smoke on the altar with the burnt offering.  They were a consecration offering for a sweet scent; it was a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH.
29 And Moses took the breast and presented it for a wave offering before YEHOWAH; it was Moses’ portion of the ram of consecration, just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.
30 Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood that was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his clothes, on his sons, and on the clothes of his sons with him; and he sanctified Aaron, his clothes, and his sons, and the clothes of his sons with him.
31 And Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, “Boil the flesh at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, and eat it there together with the bread which is in the basket of the consecration offering, just as I commanded, saying, ‘Aaron and his sons shall eat it,’
32 but that which remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn in the fire.
33 And you shall not go out from the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting for seven days, until the day that the period of your consecration is fulfilled, for He will consecrate you through seven days.
34 And as He has done this day, YEHOWAH has commanded to do, to make atonement for you.
35 And you shall abide at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, day and night for seven days, and keep the charge of YEHOWAH, so that you will not die, for so I have been commanded.”
36 Thus Aaron and his sons did all the things that YEHOWAH had commanded through Moses.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 9

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 9

And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel,
2 and he said to Aaron, “Take a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering; both without blemish, and present them unto YEHOWAH.
3 Then to the children of Israel you shall speak, saying, ‘Take a kid of the goats for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb; both one year old and without blemish, for a burnt offering,
4 and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before YEHOWAH; and a bloodless offering mixed with oil; for today YEHOWAH will appear to you.'”
5 And they brought what Moses had commanded to the front of the tabernacle of meeting, and the whole assembly came near and stood before YEHOWAH.
6 And Moses said, “This is the thing that YEHOWAH has commanded to do, that the glory of YEHOWAH may appear to you.”
7 Moses then said to Aaron, “Come near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, that you may make atonement for yourself and for the people. Then make the offering for the people, that you may make atonement for them, just as YEHOWAH has commanded.”
8 So Aaron came near to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
9 And Aaron’s sons presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and put on the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.
10 The fat and the kidneys and the lobe of the liver of the sin offering, he then offered up in smoke on the altar just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.
11 And the flesh and the hide he burned with fire outside the camp.
12 Then he killed the burnt offering, and Aaron’s sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it round about on the altar.
13 They handed the burnt offering to him in pieces, with the head, which he offered up in smoke on the altar.
14 And he washed the bowels and the legs, and offered them up in smoke, with the burnt offering, on the altar.
15 And he presented the people’s offering, and took the goat of the sin offering, which was for the people, and killed it and offered it for sin, like the first.
16 And he presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.
17 Then he presented the bloodless offering, and filled his hand with some of it and offered it up in smoke on the altar, beside the burnt offering of the morning.
18 Then he killed the ox and the ram; the sacrifice of peace offerings, which were for the people, and Aaron’s sons handed the blood to him and he sprinkled it round about on the altar.
19 And the fat from the ox and from the ram, the rump and the fat covering, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver;
20 they put the fat on the breasts; and he offered them all up in smoke on the altar,
21 but the breasts and the right thigh Aaron presented as a wave offering before YEHOWAH, just as Moses had commanded.
22 And Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them, and he came down after making the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings.
23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting.  And when they came out and blessed the people, the glory of YEHOWAH appeared to all the people.
24 And there came out a fire from before YEHOWAH, that consumed the burnt offering and the portions of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 10

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 10

And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each their firepans, and having put fire in them, placed incense on it and offered strange fire before YEHOWAH, which He had not commanded them.
2 And there came out fire from before YEHOWAH and consumed them, and they died before YEHOWAH.
3 Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what YEHOWAH spoke, saying, ‘I will be sanctified by those who come near Me, and before all the people I will be honored.'” So Aaron remained silent.
4 And Moses called to Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel, Aaron’s uncle, and said to them, “Come near, carry your kinsmen away from before the sanctuary to outside of the camp.”
5 So they came forward and carried them, still in their tunics, to outside of the camp, as Moses had said.
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his children Eleazar and Ithamar, “Uncover not your heads, nor tear your clothes, so that you will not die and that He will not become wrathful against all the assembly.  But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning that YEHOWAH has brought about.
7 You shall not go out from the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, or you will die, for the anointing oil of YEHOWAH is upon you.”  And they did according to the word of Moses.
8 And YEHOWAH spoke to Aaron, saying,
9 “Do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your children with you, when you come into the tabernacle of meeting, so that you will not die.  It is a perpetual statute throughout your generations,
10 that you may distinguish between the holy and the unholy, and between the unclean and the clean,
11 and that you may teach the children of Israel all the statutes that YEHOWAH has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.”
12 Then Moses commanded Aaron and his surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, “Take the bloodless offering that remains from YEHOWAH’S offerings by fire, and eat it unleavened beside the altar, for it is most holy.
13 And you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your due and your sons’ due out of YEHOWAH’S offerings by fire, for so I have been commanded.
14 And the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering, you may eat in a clean place, you and your sons and your daughters with you, for they have been given as your due and your children’s due out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.
15 The shoulder of the heave offering and the breast of the wave offering they shall bring, along with the offerings by fire, of the portions of fat, to present as a wave offering before YEHOWAH; so it shall be a thing perpetually due you and your children with you, just as YEHOWAH has commanded.”
16 But Moses diligently searched for the goat of the sin offering, and behold, it had been burned up! So he was angry with Aaron’s surviving sons Eleazar and Ithamar, and said,
17 “Why did you not eat the sin offering at the holy place? For it is most holy, and He has given it to you that you might bear the guilt of the assembly, to make atonement for them before YEHOWAH.
18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought into the sanctuary, therefore you should have eaten it in the sanctuary, just as I commanded.”
19 But Aaron said to Moses, “Behold, this day they presented their sin offering and their burnt offering before YEHOWAH, and such things have befallen me, that if I had eaten a sin offering, would it have been good in the sight of YEHOWAH?”
20 And when Moses heard, it seemed good in his sight.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 11

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 11

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the creatures that you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth:
3 Whatever splits a hoof and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud, are among the animals, that you may eat.
4 Nevertheless, you shall not eat of these, among those that chew the cud, or among those that split the hoof:  The camel, for though it chews cud, it does not split the hoof; it is unclean to you.
5 And the coney, for though it chews cud, it does not split the hoof; it is unclean to you;
6 the rabbit also, for though it chews cud, it does not split the hoof; it is unclean to you;
7 and the swine, for though it splits the hoof, thus making a split hoof, it does not chew cud; it is unclean to you.
8 You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you.
9 These you may eat of whatever is in the water:  All that have fins and scales; those in the water, in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat.
10 But all that does not have fins and scales in the seas and in the rivers, among all that swarm in the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are abominable to you,
11 and they shall be an abomination to you; you may not eat of their flesh, and their carcasses you shall detest.
12 Whatever in the water does not have fins and scales is an abomination to you.
13 And these you shall detest among the birds; they are an abomination, not to be eaten:  The eagle and the ossifrage and the buzzard,
14 and the vulture and the hawk and its kind,
15 and the raven and its kind,
16 and the ostrich and the owl and the sea gull and the falcon and its kind,
17 and the little owl and the cormorant and the great owl,
18 and the white owl and the pelican and the carrion vulture,
19 and the stork, and the heron in its kinds, and the hoopoe, and the bat.
20 And all the winged insects that walk on all fours are abominable to you.
21 Yet these you may eat among all the winged insects that walk on all fours:  Those that have above their feet jointed legs with which to jump on the earth.
22 These of them you may eat:  The locust in its kinds, and the bald locust in its kinds, and the cricket in its kinds, and the grasshopper in its kinds.
23 But all other winged insects that are four-footed are abominable to you,
24 and by these you shall make yourselves unclean.  And whoever touches their carcasses becomes unclean until evening,
25 and whoever carries away any of their carcasses shall wash their clothes and be unclean until evening.
26 Every beast that splits the hoof but is not cloven-footed, or which does not chew cud, they are unclean to you; whoever touches them becomes unclean.
27 Also whatever walks on its paws, among all the creatures that walk on all fours, are unclean to you; whoever touches their carcasses becomes unclean until evening,
28 and the one who picks up their carcasses shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening; they are unclean to you.
29 Now these are to you the unclean among the creeping things that creep on the earth: The weasel, and the mouse, and the lizard in its kinds,
30 and the ferret, and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the sand reptile, and the mole.
31 These are unclean to you among all the creeping things; whoever touches them when they are dead becomes unclean until evening.
32 And upon whatever any of them may fall when they are dead becomes unclean, including any wooden article, or clothing, or a skin, or a sack, or any article of which use is made; it shall be put in water and be unclean until evening, then it becomes clean.
33 And any earthenware vessel into which one of them may fall, whatever is in it becomes unclean, and you shall break the vessel,
34 and any of the food that may be eaten, on which water comes, shall become unclean, and any liquid that may be drunk in every vessel shall become unclean.
35 Everything on which part of their carcass may fall becomes unclean; an oven or a stove shall be broken down; they are unclean and shall be unclean to you.
36 Nevertheless a spring or well collecting water shall be clean, though the one who touches their carcass shall be unclean.
37 If a part of their carcass falls on any seed for sowing, which is to be sown, it is clean,
38 but if water is put on the seed and a part of their carcass then falls on it, it is unclean to you.
39 Also, if any beast of which you may eat dies, the one who touches its carcass becomes unclean until evening.
40 And they who eat of its carcass shall wash their clothes and be unclean until evening, and the one who picks up its carcass shall wash their clothes and be unclean until evening.
41 Now every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth is an abomination; it is not to be eaten.
42 Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever walks on all fours, and whatever has many feet, in respect to every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, you shall not eat them, for they are abominable.
43 Do not make yourselves abominable through any of the creeping things that creep; and you shall not make yourselves unclean with them, that you become defiled by them.
44 For I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.  Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy.  And you shall not defile yourselves with any of the creeping things that creep upon the earth,
45 for I am YEHOWAH, Who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your Elohim; therefore you shall be holy, for I am holy.'”
46 This is the law of the beasts and the birds, and every living thing that moves in the waters, and every creature that creeps upon the earth,
47 to distinguish between the unclean and the clean, and between the edible creature and the creature that is not to be eaten.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 12

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 12

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘When a woman conceives and begets a male child, she shall be unclean for seven days, as in the days of her menstruation she shall be unclean.
3 On the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
4 And she shall continue in the blood of her purification for thirty-three days; she shall not touch any sanctified thing, nor enter the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.
5 If she begets a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks, as in her menstruation; and she shall continue in the blood of her purification for sixty-six days.
6 And when the days of her purification are complete, for a son or for a daughter, she shall bring to the priest, at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, a one-year-old lamb for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove for a sin offering.
7 And he shall present it before YEHOWAH and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her blood.  This is the law for her who begets a male or a female.
8 And if she is unable to bring a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons; one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering, and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.'”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 13

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 13

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2 “When anyone has on the skin of their flesh a rising, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes on the skin of their flesh a sore, as of leprosy, then they shall be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons the priests.
3 And the priest shall look at the mark on the skin of the body, and if the hair in the sore has turned white, and the sore appears to be deeper than the skin of their body, it is a sore of leprosy, and the priest shall look on them, and he shall pronounce them unclean.
4 But if the bright spot is white on the skin of their body, and it does not look to be deeper than the skin, and the hair on it has not turned white, then the priest shall isolate the infected for seven days.
5 And the priest shall look at that person on the seventh day, and if in his eyes the sore has not changed; if the sore has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall isolate the infected another seven days.
6 And the priest shall look at them again on the seventh day, and if the sore has faded and the sore has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce them clean; it is a scab.  And they shall wash their clothes and be clean.
7 But if the scab spreads on the skin, after being seen by the priest for their cleansing, they shall appear again to the priest,
8 and the priest shall look, and if the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is leprosy.
9 When the plague of leprosy is in a person, then they shall be brought to the priest,
10 and the priest shall then look, and if there is a white rising in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is quick raw flesh in the rising,
11 it is an old leprosy in the skin of their body, and the priest shall pronounce them unclean; he shall not isolate them, for they are unclean.
12 But if the leprosy flourishes on the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the infected, from their head, even to their feet, as far as the priest can see,
13 then the priest shall look, and behold, the leprosy has covered all their body, he shall pronounce clean the infected one; it has all turned white, they are clean.
14 But whenever raw flesh appears on them, they shall be unclean;
15 the priest shall look at the raw flesh, and he shall pronounce them unclean; the raw flesh is unclean, it is leprosy.
16 Or if the raw flesh turns again and is changed to white, then they shall come to the priest,
17 and the priest shall look at them, and behold, the sore has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce the sore clean; they are clean.
18 When the flesh breaks forth a boil in its skin and it is healed,
19 and in the place of the boil there is a white rising or a reddish-white bright spot, then it shall be shown to the priest,
20 and the priest shall look, and behold, it appears to be lower than the skin, and the hair on it has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is the sore of leprosy broken out in the boil.
21 But if the priest looks at it, and behold, no white hairs therein, and it is not lower than the skin, and is somewhat dark, then the priest shall isolate the infected for seven days;
22 and if it spreads on the skin, the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is a plague.
23 But if the bright spot remains in its place and does not spread, it is the scar of the boil; the priest shall pronounce them clean.
24 Or if the flesh is burned by fire and the skin is raw flesh, and it becomes a bright spot, reddish-white or white,
25 then the priest shall look at it, and if the hair in the bright spot has turned white and it appears to be deeper than the skin, it is leprosy; it has broken out in the burn. Therefore, the priest shall pronounce it unclean; it is a sore of leprosy.
26 But if the priest looks at it, and behold, there is no white hair in the bright spot, and it is no deeper than the skin, but is somewhat dark, then the priest shall isolate the infected for seven days;
27 and the priest shall look at them on the seventh day.  If it spreads in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them unclean; it is a sore of leprosy,
28 but if the bright spot remains in place and has not spread in the skin, but is somewhat dark, it is the rising from the burn, and the priest shall pronounce them clean; it is the scar of the burn.
29 Now if a man or woman has a sore on the head or on the face,
30 then the priest shall look at the sore, and if it looks deeper than the skin, and there is thin yellow hair in it, the priest shall pronounce it unclean; it is a scale, it is leprosy of the head or of the face.
31 But if the priest looks at the sore of the scale, and behold, it looks no deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall isolate the infected with the scaly sore for seven days.
32 On the seventh day the priest shall look at the sore, and if the scale has not spread, and no yellowish hair has grown in it, and the appearance of the scale is no deeper than the skin,
33 then the infected man shall shave himself, but he shall not shave the scale; and the priest shall isolate the infected with the scale seven more days.
34 Then on the seventh day the priest shall look at the scale, and if the scale has not spread in the skin, and it appears to be no deeper than the skin, the priest shall pronounce it clean, and they shall wash their clothes and be clean.
35 But if the scale spreads farther in the skin after the cleansing,
36 then the priest shall look at the infected, and if the scale has spread in the skin, the priest need not seek for the yellowish hair; it is unclean.
37 If in his sight the scale has remained, however, and black hair has grown in it, the scale has healed; it is clean, and the priest shall pronounce them clean.
38 If a man or a woman in the skin of their flesh has bright spots; white bright spots,
39 then the priest shall look, and if the bright spots in the skin of their flesh are a faint white, it is eczema that has broken out on the skin; they are clean.
40 Now if a man loses the hair of his head, he is bald; he is clean.
41 If his head becomes bald at the front and sides, he is bald on the forehead; he is clean.
42 But if on the bald head or the bald forehead, there occurs a reddish-white sore, it is leprosy breaking out on his bald head or on his bald forehead,
43 and the priest shall look at him; and if the rising of the sore is reddish-white on his bald head or on his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the body,
44 he is a leprous man, he is unclean, and the priest shall surely pronounce unclean the sore on his head.
45 And the leper, in whom is the plague, their clothes shall be torn, and the hair of their head shall be uncovered, and they shall cover their beard and shall cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’
46 And they shall remain unclean all the days during which they have the sore; they are unclean.  And they shall live alone; their dwelling shall be outside the camp.
47 And when any clothing has a mark of leprosy in it, whether it is a wool clothing or a linen clothing;
48 whether in warp or woof, of linen or of wool; whether in leather or in any article made of leather,
49 if the mark is greenish or reddish in the cloth or in the leather, or in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of leather, it is a leprous mark and shall be shown to the priest.
50 And the priest shall look at the mark and shall isolate the article with the mark for seven days.
51 He shall then look at the mark on the seventh day, and if the mark has spread on the clothing, whether in the warp or in the woof, or in the leather, whatever the purpose for which the leather is used, the mark is a leprous malignancy; it is unclean.
52 And they shall burn the clothing, whether the warp or the woof, in wool or in linen, or any article of leather in which the mark occurs, for it is a leprous malignancy; it shall be burned in the fire.
53 But if the priest shall look, and indeed the mark has not spread in the cloth, either in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of leather,
54 then the priest shall order them to wash the thing in which the mark occurs, and he shall isolate it seven more days.
55 After the article with the mark has been washed, the priest shall again look, and if the mark has not changed its appearance, even though the mark has not spread, it is unclean; you shall burn it in the fire, whether an eating away has produced bareness on the top or on the front of it.
56 But if the priest looks, and if the mark has faded after it has been washed, then he shall tear it out of the cloth or out of the leather, whether from the warp or from the woof,
57 and if it appears again in the cloth, whether in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of leather, it is flourishing; the article with the mark shall be burned in the fire.
58 The cloth, whether the warp or the woof, or any article of leather from which the mark has departed when you washed it, it shall then be washed a second time and will be clean.”
59 This is the law for the mark of leprosy in a cloth of wool or linen, whether in the warp or in the woof, or in any article of leather, for pronouncing it clean or unclean.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 14

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 14

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “This shall be the law of the leper in the day of their cleansing:  Now they shall be brought to the priest,
3 and the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall look, and behold, if the sore of leprosy has been healed in the leper,
4 the priest shall give orders to take for the one to be cleansed, two clean live birds, and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop,
5 and the priest shall command that one bird be slain in an earthenware vessel over running water,
6 and the other live bird, they shall take, together with the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was slain over the running water.
7 And he shall then sprinkle the one to be cleansed from leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce them clean, and shall let the live bird go loose over an open field.
8 And the one to be cleansed shall then wash their clothes, and shave off all their hair, and bathe in water and be clean.  And afterward, they may enter the camp, but they shall stay outside their tent for seven days.
9 And it shall be on the seventh day that they shall shave off all their hair; they shall shave their head and their face and their eyebrows, even all their hair.  They shall then wash their clothes and bathe their body in water and be clean.
10 And on the eighth day they are to take two male lambs without blemish, and a yearling ewe lamb without blemish, and three-tenths parts of fine flour mingled with oil, for a bloodless offering, and one log of oil,
11 and the priest that makes him clean shall present the one to be cleansed, and those things, before YEHOWAH at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting,
12 and the priest shall take one male lamb and present it for a guilt offering, with the log of oil, and wave them as a wave offering before YEHOWAH.
13 Then he shall kill the other male lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering; at the place of the sanctuary, as a guilt offering, and like the sin offering, this belongs to the priest; it is most holy.
14 The priest shall then take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put of it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot.
15 The priest shall also take some of the log of oil, and pour it into his left palm;
16 the priest shall then dip his right-hand finger into the oil that is in his left palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of the oil seven times before YEHOWAH.
17 And of the oil remaining, which is in his palm, the priest shall put some on the right ear lobe of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot; on the blood of the guilt offering,
18 and the oil yet remaining in the priest’s palm, he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed.  So the priest shall make atonement on their behalf before YEHOWAH.
19 The priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from their uncleanness.  Then afterward, they shall kill the burnt offering.
20 And the priest shall offer up the burnt offering and the bloodless offering upon the altar, and the priest shall make atonement for them, and they will be clean.
21 But if they are poor and their means insufficient, then they are to take one male lamb for a guilt offering, as a wave offering to make atonement, and one-tenth part of fine flour mixed with oil for a bloodless offering, and a log of oil,
22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, which are within their means; one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
23 And they shall present them to the priest on the eighth day for their cleansing, at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, before YEHOWAH.
24 And the priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall offer them for a wave offering before YEHOWAH.
25 Then they shall kill the lamb of the guilt offering, and the priest is to take of the blood of the guilt offering, and put on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot.
26 The priest shall also pour some of the oil into his left palm,
27 and with his right-hand finger the priest shall sprinkle of the oil that is in his left palm seven times before YEHOWAH.
28 The priest shall then put of the oil in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt offering.
29 And the remaining oil, which is in the priest’s palm, he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement on their behalf before YEHOWAH.
30 They shall then offer one of the turtledoves or young pigeons, such as they can get.
31 Of what they can get, one shall be for the sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, together with the bloodless offering.  So the priest shall make atonement before YEHOWAH on behalf of the one to be cleansed.
32 This is the law for those in whom there is a sore of leprosy, whose means are limited for their cleansing.”
33 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
34 “When you enter the land of Canaan, which I give you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy on a house in the land of your possession,
35 then the one who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, ‘It seems to me as if a plague has become visible in the house.’
36 And the priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest goes in to see the spot, so that everything in the house need not become unclean, and afterward the priest shall go in to look at the house.
37 And he shall look at the spot, and if the spot on the walls of the house has greenish or reddish depressions and looks deeper than the surface,
38 then the priest shall come out of the house, to the entrance, and shut up the house for seven days.
39 And the priest shall return on the seventh day and look, and behold, if the spot has spread in the walls of the house,
40 then the priest shall command that they take away the stones with the plague, and throw them into an unclean place outside the city.
41 And he shall have the house scraped inside round about, and they shall dump the dust that they scrape off into an unclean place outside the city.
42 And they shall take other stones and put them in the place of those stones, and they shall take other mortar and shall plaster the house.
43 And if the plague breaks out again in the house, after they have taken away the stones and scraped the house, and after they have plastered it again,
44 then the priest shall come in and look, and behold, if he sees that the plague has indeed spread in the house, it is a fretting plague in the house; it is unclean.
45 They shall therefore break down the house, its stones, and its timbers, and all the mortar of the house, and they shall take it all outside the city to an unclean place.
46 And whoever goes into the house during the time that it is shut up, becomes unclean until evening.
47 And whoever lies down in the house shall wash their clothes, and whoever eats in the house shall wash their clothes.
48 But if the priest shall come and look, and behold, the plague has indeed not spread in the house, after the house has again been plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague has not reappeared.
49 And to cleanse the house, they shall take two birds and cedar wood and scarlet and hyssop,
50 and they shall kill one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water.
51 And they shall take the cedar wood and the hyssop and the scarlet, and the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and of the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.
52 Thus shall they cleanse the house; with the blood of the bird and with the running water, along with the live bird, and the cedar wood, and the hyssop and the scarlet.
53 Then they shall let the live bird go free, outside the city, into an open field.  And so he shall make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.”
54 This is the law for any plague of leprosy or scall,
55 or for leprosy of clothing or a house,
56 or for a rising, a scab, or a bright spot,
57 to teach when they are unclean and when they are clean.  This is the law of leprosy.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 15

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 15

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘If anyone has a flowing from their body, their issue is unclean.
3 And there shall be uncleanness in the issue, whether their body allows its issue to flow, or whether their body obstructs its issue.
4 Every bed on which the person with the issue lies becomes unclean, and everything on which they sit becomes unclean.
5 And whoever touches their bed shall wash their clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening,
6 and whoever sits on the thing on which the one with the issue has been sitting, shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
7 And whoever touches the person with the issue shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
8 Or if the person with the issue spits on anyone who is clean, they too shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
9 And every saddle on which the person with the issue rides becomes unclean.
10 Whoever then touches any of the things that were under that person shall be unclean until evening, and they who carry any of them shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
11 And whomever the one with the issue touches, without having cleansed their hands in water, shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
12 And every earthenware vessel that the person with the issue touches shall be broken, and every wooden vessel shall be rinsed in water.
13 And when the one with the issue becomes cleansed from their issue, then they shall count off seven days for their cleansing, and they shall then wash their clothes and bathe their body in running water and will become clean.
14 And on the eighth day they shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and come before YEHOWAH, to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, and give them to the priest;
15 and the priest shall offer them; one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.  So the priest shall make atonement on their behalf before YEHOWAH, because of their issue.
16 If any man’s seed of copulation go out from him, he shall bathe all his body in water and be unclean until evening.
17 And any clothing or any leather on which there is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water and be unclean until evening.
18 If a man lies with a woman and there is the seed of copulation, they shall both bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
19 When a woman has a flux, and the menstrual flux from her body is blood, she shall continue in her menstruation for seven days, and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening.
20 And everything on which she lies during her menstruation shall be unclean, and everything on which she sits shall be unclean,
21 and anyone who touches her bed shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
22 Anyone who touches anything on which she sits shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening;
23 whether it be on the bed or on the thing on which she is sitting, when they touch it, they shall be unclean until evening.
24 And if a man lies down with her, so that her menstruation is on him, he shall be unclean seven days, and every bed on which he lies shall be unclean.
25 If a woman has an issue of her blood many days, not at the time of her menstruation, or if she has an issue beyond that period, all the days of her uncleanness she shall continue as though in her menstruation; she is unclean.
26 And any bed on which she lies, all the days of her flux, shall be to her like her bed at menstruation, and every thing on which she sits shall be unclean, like her uncleanness at that time.
27 And whoever touches them shall be unclean and shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.
28 And when she becomes clean from her flux, she shall count off for herself seven days, and afterward she will be clean.
29 And on the eighth day she shall take for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and bring them to the priest at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting.
30 And the priest shall offer one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. So the priest shall make atonement on her behalf before YEHOWAH, because of her impure issue.’
31 Thus you shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, so that they will not die in their uncleanness by their defiling My tabernacle that is among them.”
32 And this is the law for those with an issue; for the man who spills his seed of copulation, so that he is unclean by it,
33 and for the woman who is ill because of menstruation, and for the one who has a issue, whether a male or a female, or a man who lies with an unclean woman.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 16

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 16

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses after the death of the two Sons of Aaron, when they had come before YEHOWAH and died,
2 and YEHOWAH said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter at any time, into the sanctuary, inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, or he will die, for I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat.
3 Only in this manner shall Aaron enter the holy place:  With a bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
4 He shall put on the holy linen tunic, and the linen breeches shall be next to his body, and he shall be girded with the linen belt and attired with the linen turban, for these are holy clothes; he shall bathe his body in water and put them on.
5 And he shall take from the assembly of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering and one ram for a burnt offering.
6 And Aaron shall present the bull for the sin offering, which is for him, that he may make atonement for himself and for his household.
7 And he shall take the two goats and present them before YEHOWAH at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting.
8 Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats, one lot for YEHOWAH and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9 And Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot for YEHOWAH fell, and make it a sin offering.
10 But the goat on which the lot for the scapegoat fell shall be presented alive before YEHOWAH, to make atonement with it, and then to send it away into the wilderness as the scapegoat.
11 Then Aaron shall present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his household, and he shall kill the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself.
12 He shall take a firepan full of flaming embers from upon the altar before YEHOWAH, and two hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it inside the veil.
13 And he shall put the incense on the fire before YEHOWAH, so that a cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the ark of the testimony, otherwise he will die.
14 And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle with his finger on the mercy seat; on the east side.  Also, in front of the mercy seat, he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.
15 Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering that is for the people, and bring the blood of it inside the veil, and do with its blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and in front of the mercy seat.
16 He shall make atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel and because of their transgressions in all their sins; and thus he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting that abides with them in the midst of their uncleanness.
17 And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the holy place, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself and for his household and for all the assembly of Israel.
18 And he shall go out to the altar that is before YEHOWAH and make atonement for it, and shall take of the blood of the bull, and of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar on all sides,
19 and he shall sprinkle the blood on it seven times with his fingers to and cleanse it, and consecrate it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.
20 When he has finished making atonement for the holy place, and the tabernacle of meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.
21 And Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins, and he shall lay them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man.
22 The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to an uninhabited land, and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.
23 Then Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of meeting and take off the linen clothes which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there.
24 And he shall bathe his body with water in a holy place and put on his clothes, and come forth and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people and make atonement for himself and for the people.
25 Then he shall offer up in smoke the fat of the sin offering on the altar.
26 And the one who released the goat as the scapegoat shall wash his clothes and bathe his body with water; then afterward he shall come into the camp.
27 But the bull of the sin offering and the goat of the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall be taken outside the camp, and they shall burn their hides, their flesh, and their dung in the fire.
28 And the one who burns them shall wash their clothes and bathe their body with water, and then afterward they shall come into the camp.
29 And this shall be a perpetual statute for you:  In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall humble your souls and do no work, whether the home-born, or the stranger who sojourns among you,
30 for on this day atonement shall be made for you, to cleanse you; and you will be cleansed from all your sins before YEHOWAH.
31 It is to be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may humble your souls; it is a perpetual statute.
32 So the priest who is anointed and consecrated to serve as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement:  He shall thus put on the linen clothes, the holy clothes,
33 and make atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make atonement for the tabernacle of meeting and for the altar.  He shall also make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.
34 And you shall have this as a perpetual statute, to make atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once every year.” And as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses, he did.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 17

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 17

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons and to all the children of Israel and say to them, ‘This is what YEHOWAH has commanded, saying,
3 “Any person from the house of Israel who kills an ox or a lamb or a goat in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,
4 and has not brought it to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting to present it as a sacrifice to YEHOWAH, before the tabernacle of YEHOWAH, blood-guiltiness is to be reckoned to them.  They have shed blood, and that person shall be cut off from among their people,
5 to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices that they were offering in the open field; that they may bring them in to YEHOWAH, at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, to the priest, and offer them as sacrifices of peace offerings unto YEHOWAH.
6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of YEHOWAH at the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, and offer up the fat in smoke as a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
7 They shall no longer offer sacrifices to the demons with which they play the harlot. And this shall be a perpetual statute to them throughout their generations.””
8 And you shall say to them, ‘Anyone of the house of Israel, or from the strangers who sojourn among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,
9 and does not bring it to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting, to offer it to YEHOWAH, that person also shall be cut off from their people.
10 And anyone from the house of Israel, or from the strangers who sojourn among them, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut them off from among their people.
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.’
12 Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘No person among you may eat blood, nor may any stranger who sojourns among you eat blood.’
13 So when any one of the children of Israel, or from the strangers who sojourn among them, in hunting catches a beast or a bird, which may be eaten, they shall pour out its blood and cover it with earth.
14 For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is its life.  Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’
15 And when anyone eats an animal that died or is torn by beasts, whether they are a native or a stranger, they shall wash their clothes and bathe in water, and remain unclean until evening; then they will become clean,
16 but if they do not wash or bathe their body, then they shall bear their guilt.”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 18

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 18

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
3 You shall not do as was done in the land of Egypt, where you dwelled, nor are you to do what is done in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; you shall not walk in their customs.
4 You are to do My judgments and keep My statutes, and live in accord with them; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
5 Therefore, you shall keep My statutes and My judgments, by which a person may live if they do them; I am YEHOWAH.
6 No one shall approach any blood relative to uncover his or her nakedness; I am YEHOWAH.
7 No one shall uncover the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother; she is your mother, you are not to uncover her nakedness.
8 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife, it is your father’s nakedness.
9 The nakedness of your sister; your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether born at home or born outside; their nakedness you shall not uncover.
10 The nakedness of your son’s daughter or your daughter’s daughter; their nakedness you shall not uncover, for their nakedness is yours.
11 The nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, born to your father, she is your sister, you shall not uncover her nakedness.
12 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister; she is your father’s blood relative.
13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s blood relative.
14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother; you shall not approach his wife, she is your aunt.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she is your son’s wife, you shall not uncover her nakedness.
16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it is your brother’s nakedness.
17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and of her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are blood relatives.  It is lewdness.
18 You shall not marry a woman in addition to her sister as a rival while she is alive, to uncover her nakedness.
19 Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness during her menstruation.
20 You shall not have intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, to be defiled with her.
21 You shall not let any of your children pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your Elohim; I am YEHOWAH.
22 You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
23 Neither shall you have intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is unnatural bestiality.
24 Do not defile yourselves by any of these things, for by all these the nations that I am casting out before you have become defiled,
25 and the land has become defiled.  Therefore I have brought its punishment upon it, so the land vomits out its inhabitants.
26 But you shall keep My statutes and My judgments and shall not do any of these abominations, neither the home-born, nor the stranger who sojourns among you,
27 (for the people of the land who have been before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become defiled),
28 so that the land not vomit you out, should you defile it, as it has vomited out the nations that have been before you.
29 For whoever does any of these abominations, those persons who do shall be cut off from among their people.
30 Therefore you shall keep My ordinances, that you do not practice any of the abominable customs that have been practiced before you, so as not to defile yourselves in them; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.'”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 19

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 19

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to all the assembly of the children of Israel and say to them, ‘You shall be holy, for I, YEHOWAH your Elohim, am holy.
3 Each of you shall revere your mother and your father, and you shall keep My Sabbaths; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
4 Turn not to idols, nor make for yourselves molten elohim; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
5 And if you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to YEHOWAH, you offer it so that you may be accepted;
6 it shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and the next day, but whatever remains until the third day shall be burned with fire.
7 Therefore, if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it will not be accepted.
8 And everyone who eats it will bear their iniquity, for they have profaned the holy thing of YEHOWAH, and that person shall be cut off from his people.
9 And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest,
10 nor shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger.  I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
11 You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another,
12 nor shall you swear falsely by My Name, so as to profane the Name of your Elohim; I am YEHOWAH.
13 You shall not deal deceitfully with your neighbor, nor rob from him, and the wages of a hired man are not to remain with you overnight until morning.
14 You shall not curse a deaf man, nor place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall revere your Elohim; I am YEHOWAH.
15 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but in righteousness you are to judge your neighbor.
16 You shall not go about as a scandalmonger among your people, nor are you to stand up against the life of your neighbor; I am YEHOWAH.
17 You shall not hate your kinsman in your heart; you may earnestly rebuke your neighbor, but you shall not incur sin because of them.
18 You shall not avenge yourself, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am YEHOWAH.
19 You are to keep My statutes.  You shall not let your cattle breed with other sorts; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear clothing of two kinds of material mixed together.
20 Now if a man lies carnally with a woman who is a bondmaid betrothed to another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, they shall be scourged, but they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
21 And he shall bring his guilt offering to YEHOWAH to the entrance of the tabernacle of meeting; a ram for a guilt offering.
22 And the priest shall also make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before YEHOWAH, for his sin that he has committed, and the sin that he has committed will be forgiven him.
23 And when you come into the land and plant all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as uncircumcised.  Three years it shall be uncircumcised to you; it shall not be eaten.
24 But in the fourth year, all the fruit thereof shall be holy; a sacrifice of praise unto YEHOWAH.
25 And in the fifth year you shall eat the fruit thereof, so that its yield may increase; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
26 You shall eat nothing with the blood, nor practice divination nor observe times.
27 You shall not round the corners of your heads nor harm the corners of your beard.
28 You shall not make any cuts in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks on yourselves; I am YEHOWAH.
29 Do not profane your daughter by making her a whore, so that the land will not fall to whoredom and the land become full of wickedness.
30 You shall keep My Sabbaths and revere My sanctuary; I am YEHOWAH.
31 Do not turn to spiritists, nor seek after wizards, to be defiled by them.  I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
32 You shall rise up before the gray headed and honor the aged, and you shall revere your Elohim; I am YEHOWAH.
33 And if a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not oppress them.
34 The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love them as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
35 You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measurement, in weight, or in capacity.
36 You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin; I am YEHOWAH your Elohim, Who brought you out from the land of Egypt.
37 You shall thus observe all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them; I am YEHOWAH.'”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 20

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 20

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “You shall also say to the children of Israel, ‘Every one of the children of Israel, or of the strangers sojourning in Israel, who gives any of their seed to Molech, shall surely be put to death.  The people of the land shall stone them with stones.
3 And I will set My face against that person, and will cut them off from among their people, because they have given of their seed to Molech, so as to defile My sanctuary and to profane My holy Name.
4 And if the people of the land should ever turn a blind eye to that person, when they give any of their seed to Molech, so as to not put them to death,
5 then I Myself will set My face against that person and against their family, and I will cut off from among their people both that person and all those who play the harlot after them, by playing the harlot after Molech.
6 As for the person who turns to spiritists and wizards, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut them off from among their people.
7 You shall sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
8 You shall keep My statutes and do them; I am YEHOWAH Who sanctifies you.
9 If anyone curses their father or their mother, they shall surely be put to death; they have cursed their father or their mother, their bloodguiltiness is upon them.
10 If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife; the one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
11 If a man lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death, their bloodguiltiness is upon them.
12 If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death; they have wrought confusion, their bloodguiltiness is upon them.
13 If a man lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death.  Their blood-guiltiness is upon them.
14 If a man marries a woman and her mother, it is immorality; both he and they shall be burned with fire, so that there will be no immorality in your midst.
15 If a man lies with an animal, he shall surely be put to death; you shall also kill the animal.
16 If a woman approaches any animal to mate with it, you shall kill the woman and the animal; they shall surely be put to death.  Their blood-guiltiness is upon them.
17 If a man takes his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, so that he sees her nakedness and she sees his nakedness, it is a disgrace; and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people.  He has uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he bears his guilt.
18 If a man lies with a menstruating woman and uncovers her nakedness, he has laid bare her flow, and she has exposed the flow of her blood; thus both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
19 You shall also not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister or of your father’s sister, for such a one has made naked his blood relative; they will bear their guilt.
20 If a man lies with his uncle’s wife he has uncovered his uncle’s nakedness; they will bear their sin.  They will die childless.
21 If a man takes his brother’s wife, it is abhorrent; he has uncovered his brother’s nakedness.  They will be childless.
22 You are therefore to keep all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them, so that the land to which I am bringing you to dwell will not spew you out.
23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nations that I will drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them.
24 But I have said to you, “You are to possess their land, and I Myself will give it to you to possess it; a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am YEHOWAH your Elohim, Who has separated you from the peoples.
25 You therefore, are to distinguish between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean, and you shall not make yourselves abominable by animal or by bird or by anything that creeps on the ground, which I have distinguished for you as unclean.
26 And you are to be holy unto Me, for I YEHOWAH am holy; and I have separated you from the peoples to be Mine.
27 Now a man or a woman who is a spiritist or a medium shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones, their blood-guiltiness is upon them.'”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 21

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 21

And YEHOWAH said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the Sons of Aaron, and say to them, ‘There shall be none defiled for the dead among the people,
2 except for their kindred by blood who are nearest them; their mother and their father, and their son and their daughter, and their brother
3 and also for their virgin sister, who is near to them, because she has had no husband; for her they may defile themselves.
4 Nor shall they defile themselves for a relative by marriage among the people, and so profane themselves.
5 They shall not make any baldness on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their faces, nor make any cuts in their flesh.
6 They shall be holy unto their Elohim and not profane the Name of their Elohim, for they present the offerings by fire to YEHOWAH; the food of their Elohim, so they shall be holy.
7 They shall not take a whore as a wife, nor shall they take a woman divorced from her husband, for he is holy to his Elohim.
8 You shall sanctify him, therefore, for he offers the food of your Elohim; he shall be holy to you; for I YEHOWAH, Who sanctifies you, am holy.
9 And the daughter of any priest, who profanes herself as a whore, profanes her father; she shall be burned with fire.
10 And the high priest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured, and who has been sanctified to wear the clothing, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes,
11 nor shall he approach any dead person, nor defile himself for his father or his mother;
12 nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, or profane the sanctuary of his Elohim, for the crown of the anointing oil of his Elohim is on him; I am YEHOWAH.
13 And he shall take a wife in her virginity.
14 A widow, or a divorced woman, or one who is profaned by whoredom, these he may not take; but he is to marry a virgin of his own people,
15 so that he will not profane his seed among his people; for I am YEHOWAH Who sanctifies him.'”
16 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
17 “Speak to Aaron, saying, ‘Any man of your seed, throughout their generations, who has a defect, shall not approach to offer the food of his Elohim,
18 for no man who has a defect shall approach:  A blind man, or a lame man, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
19 or a man who has a broken foot or broken hand,
20 or a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has a blemish in his eyes, or scabby, or has crushed testicles.
21 No man among the seed of Aaron the priest who has a blemish is to come near to offer YEHOWAH’S offerings by fire; he has a blemish, he shall not come near to offer the food of his Elohim.
22 He may eat the food of his Elohim, both of the most holy and of the holy,
23 only he shall not go in to the veil or come near the altar because he has a blemish, so that he will not profane My sanctuaries.  For I am YEHOWAH Who sanctifies them.'”
24 So Moses spoke to Aaron and to his sons and to all the children of Israel.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 22

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 22

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Tell Aaron and his sons to separate themselves from the dedicated things of the children of Israel, which they dedicate to Me, so as not to profane My holy Name; I am YEHOWAH.
3 Say to them, ‘If any man among all your seed, throughout your generations, approaches the holy things that the children of Israel dedicate to YEHOWAH, while he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from before Me; I am YEHOWAH.
4 No man of the seed of Aaron, who is a leper or who has a flux, may eat of the holy things until he is clean.  And if one touches anything made unclean by a corpse, or if a man has a seed of copulation,
5 or if a man touches any teeming things by which he is made unclean, or any man by whom he is made unclean, whatever his uncleanness;
6 a person who touches any such shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat of the holy things unless he has bathed his body in water.
7 But when the sun goes down, he will be clean, and afterward he shall eat of the holy things, for it is his food.
8 He shall not eat that which dies or is torn by beasts, and become unclean by it; I am YEHOWAH.
9 They shall therefore keep My ordinances, lest they bear sin because of it, and die if they profane it; I am YEHOWAH Who sanctifies them.
10 And no stranger shall eat the holy things; a sojourner with the priest, or a hired man, shall not eat of the holy things.
11 But if a priest buys a person as property with his money, that one may eat of it, and those who are born in his house may eat of his food.
12 If a priest’s daughter is married to one not a priest, she shall not eat of the holy things.
13 But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or divorced, and has no child, and returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s food, but no layman shall eat of it.
14 But if a man eats a holy offering unintentionally, then he shall add to it a fifth part of it, and shall give the holy offering to the priest.
15 They shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel which they offer to YEHOWAH,
16 and cause them to bear punishment for guilt by eating their holy things; for I am YEHOWAH Who sanctifies them.'”
17 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
18 “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel and say to them, ‘Anyone of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, who present their offering, whether it is any of their vowed or any of their freewill offerings, which they present to YEHOWAH for a burnt offering,
19 for them to be accepted, it must be a male without blemish from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats.
20 Whatever has a blemish, you shall not offer, for it will not be accepted for you.
21 When anyone offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to YEHOWAH to fulfill a vow or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it.
22 The blind or broken or maimed or having running sores or eczema or scabs, you shall not offer to YEHOWAH, nor make of them a sacrifice by fire on the altar to YEHOWAH.
23 A bull or a lamb that is too long or too short, you may present for a freewill offering, but for a vow it will not be accepted.
24 You shall not offer unto YEHOWAH, nor in your land shall you offer, anything that is bruised or crushed or torn or cut,
25 nor shall you accept any such from the hand of a stranger for offering as the food of your Elohim; for their corruption is in them, they have a blemish; they shall not be accepted for you.'”
26 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
27 “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day onward it shall be accepted as an offering of a sacrifice by fire to YEHOWAH.
28 But, you shall not kill a cow or a sheep or a goat and its young in one day.
29 When you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto YEHOWAH, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.
30 It shall be eaten on the same day; you shall leave none of it until morning; I am YEHOWAH.
31 And so you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am YEHOWAH.
32 You shall not profane My holy Name, for I will be sanctified among the children of Israel; I am YEHOWAH Who sanctifies you,
33 Who brought you out from the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim; I am YEHOWAH.”

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 23

LEVITICUS: CHAPTER 23

And YEHOWAH spoke again to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The appointed times of YEHOWAH, which you shall proclaim as holy convocations; My appointed times are these:
3 ‘For six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest; a holy convocation.  No manner of work shall be done; it is a Sabbath to YEHOWAH in all your dwellings.
4 These are the appointed times of YEHOWAH; holy convocations that you shall proclaim at the appointed times:
5 On the fourteenth day of the first month, at evening, is YEHOWAH’S Passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to YEHOWAH; for seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.
7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work.
8 And for seven days you shall present an offering by fire unto YEHOWAH.  On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall do no servile work.'”
9 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
10 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When you come to the land that I am going to give to you, and reap its harvest, you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.
11 And he shall wave the sheaf before YEHOWAH for you to be accepted; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
12 And you shall offer on that day, when you wave the sheaf, a male lamb one year old without blemish for a burnt offering to YEHOWAH.
13 And the bloodless offering shall then be two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil; a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH for a sweet scent, with its drink offering, a fourth of a hin of wine.
14 And you shall eat neither bread or roasted corn, or green ears, until the same day you have brought in the offering of your Elohim.  It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.
15 And you shall count from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering, seven weeks; they shall be complete –
16 even to the morning after the seventh Sabbath shall you count fifty days; and you shall present a new bloodless offering to YEHOWAH.
17 You shall bring from your dwelling places two wave loaves of bread for a wave offering, made of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flower, baked with leaven, as first fruits to YEHOWAH.
18 And you shall offer with the bread, seven one year old male lambs without blemish, and a bull of the herd and two rams; they are to be a burnt offering unto YEHOWAH, with their bloodless offering and their drink offerings; a sacrifice by fire of a sweet scent to YEHOWAH.
19 You shall also sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering and two male lambs, one year old, for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering, with two lambs, before YEHOWAH; they are to be holy to YEHOWAH for the priest.
21 And you shall proclaim on the same day; you are to have a holy convocation.  You shall do no servile work.  It is to be a perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations.
22 And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the needy and the stranger.  I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.'”
23 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first of the month, you shall have a Sabbath, a memorial blowing of trumpets; a holy convocation.
25 You shall do no servile work, but you shall present a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH.'”
26 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
27 “Also on the tenth day of the seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and present a sacrifice by fire to YEHOWAH.
28 You shall do no manner of work on this day, for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before YEHOWAH your Elohim.
29 And if anyone will not be humbled on this day, they shall be cut off from their people.
30 And any person who does any sort of work on this same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.
31 You shall do no work at all.  It is to be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places.
32 It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest to you, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening you shall keep your Sabbath.”
33 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
34 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of the seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days unto YEHOWAH.
35 On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of servile work.
36 For seven days you shall present a sacrifice by fire to YEHOWAH.  On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present a sacrifice by fire to YEHOWAH; it is an assembly.  You shall do no servile work.
37 These are the appointed times of YEHOWAH which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, to present offerings by fire to YEHOWAH – burnt offerings and bloodless offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings; everything upon its day,
38 besides the Sabbaths of YEHOWAH, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows and freewill offerings, which you give to YEHOWAH.
39 And on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall celebrate a feast unto YEHOWAH for seven days, with a Sabbath rest on the first day and a Sabbath rest on the eighth day.
40 And you shall take on the first day for yourselves the boughs of ornamental trees; palm branches and boughs of leafy trees and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before YEHOWAH your Elohim for seven days.
41 And you shall celebrate it as a feast unto YEHOWAH for seven days in the year.  It is a perpetual statute throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
42 And you shall dwell in booths for seven days; all born unto Israel shall dwell in booths,
43 so that your generations may know that I had the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.'”
44 And Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed times of YEHOWAH.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 24

LEVITICUS: CHAPTER 24

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil from beaten olives for the light, to make the lamp burn continually.
3 Outside the veil of testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, Aaron shall dress it from evening to morning before YEHOWAH continually; a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
4 He shall set in order the lamps on the pure lampstand before YEHOWAH continually.
5 And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it, two-tenths of an ephah in each cake.
6 You shall set them in two rows, six to a row, on the pure table before YEHOWAH.
7 And you shall put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be a memorial portion for the bread, a sacrifice by fire unto YEHOWAH.
8 And Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before YEHOWAH continually; it is a perpetual covenant for the children of Israel.
9 It shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from YEHOWAH’S offerings by fire; his portion forever.”
10 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel, and the Israelitish woman’s son and a man of Israel struggled with each other in the camp.
11 And the son of the Israelitish woman blasphemed the Name and cursed.  So they brought him to Moses.  (Now his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.)
12 And they imprisoned him so that the command of YEHOWAH might be made clear to them.
13 And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
14 “Bring forth the one who has cursed outside the camp, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, then let all the assembly stone him.
15 And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘If anyone curses Elohim, then he will bear his sin.
16 And whoever blasphemes the Name of YEHOWAH shall surely be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone them.  The stranger as well as the native, when they blaspheme the Name, shall be put to death.
17 If anyone takes the life of any human being, they shall surely be put to death.
18 The one who takes the life of an animal shall make it good; life for life.
19 If anyone injures their neighbor, just as they have done, so it shall be done to them;
20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as they have injured a man, so it shall be inflicted on them.
21 Thus the one who kills an animal shall make it good, but the one who kills a man shall be put to death.
22 And there shall be one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.'”
23 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and they brought the one who had cursed outside the camp and stoned him with stones.  Thus the children of Israel did, just as YEHOWAH had commanded Moses.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 25

LEVITICUS: CHAPTER 25

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When you come into the land that I will give you, then the land shall have a Sabbath to YEHOWAH.
3 Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in the fruit thereof,
4 but during the seventh year the land shall have a Sabbath rest; a Sabbath to YEHOWAH.  You shall not sow your field nor prune your vineyard.
5 That which grows of its own accord you shall not reap, and the grapes of your undressed vines you shall not gather; it is a year of rest unto the land.
6 And the Sabbath of the land shall be food for you; for your, and for your servant and for your handmaid, and for your hired servant, and for your foreign resident; those who live as strangers with you.
7 And your cattle and the animals that are in your land, shall have all its crops to eat.
8 And you shall number seven Sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years, so the days of seven Sabbaths of years unto you shall be forty-nine years.
9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall make the trumpet sound throughout the land.
10 And you shall sanctify the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all its inhabitants.  A year of jubilee it shall be unto you, and you shall return every one of you to your own property, and each of you shall return to their family.
11 You shall have the fiftieth year as a jubilee; you shall not sow, nor reap what grows of its own accord, nor gather in from its untrimmed vines,
12 for it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you.  You shall eat its fruit from the field.
13 On this year of jubilee you shall return every one to their property.
14 If you sell land to your neighbor, or buy land from your neighbor’s hand, you shall not oppress one another.
15 According to the number of years after the jubilee, you shall buy from your neighbor, and he is to sell to you according to the number of years of crops.
16 According to the greater number of years you shall increase its price, and according to the fewness of the years you shall diminish its price; for it is the number of crops that is being sold.
17 So you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your Elohim, for I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
18 You shall thus observe My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them, that you may dwell in your land securely,
19 and the land will yield her fruit, so that you can eat your fill and dwell therein securely.
20 And if you say, “What shall we eat in the seventh year, if behold, we cannot sow or gather in our increase?”
21 Then I will so command My blessing upon you in the sixth year, that it will bring forth the fruit for three years.
22 And when you sow in the eighth year, you can eat of the old fruit until the ninth year, when her crops comes in.
23 The land shall not be sold forever, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me.
24 And in all the land of your possession, you are to grant for the redemption of the land.
25 If any of your kinsman becomes poor, and sells part of their possession, and if any of their kin shall come to redeem it, then they shall come and redeem what their relative has sold.
26 Or in case when a person has no kinsman, but so recovers their means as to find sufficient for its redemption,
27 then they shall calculate the years since its sale and refund the balance to the person to whom they sold it, and so return to their property.
28 But if they have not found sufficient means to get it back for themselves, then what they have sold shall remain in the hands of its purchaser until the year of jubilee, but at the jubilee it shall revert, that they may return to their property.
29 And if someone sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then they shall have the right of redemption up to the end of a full year from its sale; their right of redemption lasts a full year.
30 But if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established forever to its purchaser throughout their generations; it does not revert in the jubilee.
31 But the houses of the villages, which have no wall round about them, shall be considered as fields of the country; they may be redeemed and revert in the jubilee.
32 But as for the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.
33 If anyone purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, in the city of his possession, shall revert in the year of jubilee, for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
34 But the fields of the suburbs of their cities shall not be sold, for that is their perpetual possession.
35 And if your kinsman becomes poor and falls into decay beside you, then you shall fortify them, like a stranger or a sojourner, that they may live with you.
36 Do not take usurious interest from them, but revere your Elohim, that your kinsman may live with you.
37 You shall not give them your silver at interest, nor your food for gain.
38 I am YEHOWAH your Elohim, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan; to be your Elohim.
39 If a kinsman of yours becomes so poor, and be sold to you, you shall not compel them to serve as a bondservant;
40 but as a hired hand or a sojourner they shall be with you; they shall serve with you until the year of jubilee.
41 They shall then go out from you, they and their children with them, and shall go back to their family, that they may return to the property of their forefathers,
42 for they are My servants, whom I brought out from the land of Egypt; they are not to be sold as slaves.
43 Neither shall you rule over them with cruelty, but are to revere your Elohim.
44 And as for bondmen and bondmaids, whom you shall have, of the nations that are round about you, of them you may acquire bondmen and bondmaids.
45 Moreover, of the children of the strangers who sojourn with you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, whom they will beget in your land; they also shall be your possession.
46 And you shall leave them as an inheritance to your children after you; to inherit them as a possession.  These you may make as bond-servants forever, but in respect to your countrymen, the children of Israel, you shall not rule with cruelty over one another.
47 If a stranger or a sojourner becomes wealthy beside you, and a kinsman of yours becomes so poor with regard to him as to sell themselves to a stranger who is sojourning with you, or to the descendants of a stranger’s family,
48 then they shall have redemption rights after they have been sold.  One of his brothers may redeem them,
49 or their uncle, or their uncle’s son may redeem them, or one of their blood relatives from their family may redeem them; or if they prosper, they may redeem themselves.
50 And they shall recon with their purchaser from the year when they sold themselves, up to the year of jubilee, and the price of their sale shall correspond to the number of years; according to the days of a hired servant shall they be with them.
51 If there are yet many years, they shall refund part of their purchase price in proportion to them for their own redemption,
52 and if few years remain until the year of jubilee, they shall so calculate with them. In proportion to their years they are to refund their redemption.
53 Like a hired man, year-by-year they shall be with him, and he shall not rule over them with cruelty in your sight.
54 Even if they are not redeemed by these means, they shall still go out in the year of jubilee; they and their children with them,
55 for the children of Israel are My servants; they are My servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt.  I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 26

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 26

You shall make no idols or graven images, nor shall you rear up for yourselves a standing image or a pillar, nor shall you place a figure of stone in your land, to bow down to it, for I am YEHOWAH your Elohim.
2 You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary; I am YEHOWAH.
3 If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and do them,
4 then I will give you rains in their season, and the land will yield its increase, and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.
5 And your threshing will last until grape gathering, and grape gathering will last until sowing time.  And you will eat your food to the full and live securely in your land.
6 I will also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with none to make you fear, and I will remove harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land.
7 And you will chase your enemies and they will fall before you by the sword;
8 five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand; and your enemies will fall before you by the sword.
9 And I will have regard for you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will confirm My covenant with you.
10 And you will eat the old supply and clear out the old because of the new.
11 And I will set My tabernacle among you, and My Soul will not reject you.
12 And I will walk among you and be your Elohim, and you will be My people.
13 I am YEHOWAH your Elohim, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you would not be their servants, and I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk erect.
14 But if you will not hear Me, and will not do all these commandments,
15 and if you despise My statutes, and if your soul abhors My ordinances, so that you do not all My commandments, and so break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you:  I will appoint over you terror, consumption and disease that will cause your eyes to fail and waste away your soul.  And you will sow in vain, for your enemies will eat it up.
17 And I will set My face against you, and you shall be struck down before your enemies, and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one pursues you.
18 And if after these things you still will not listen to Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 I will also break your pride of power, and I will make your sky like iron and your earth like brass.
20 Your strength will be spent uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.
21 And if you walk contrary to Me, and are unwilling to hear Me, I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.
22 I will send out living things among you that will bereave you of your children, destroy your cattle and reduce your number, so that your roads lie deserted.
23 And if you will not be reformed by Me by these things, but walk contrary to Me,
24 then I will walk contrary to you, and I will strike you; even I, seven times for your sins.
25 I will bring a sword upon you that will avenge with vengeance for the covenant. And when you gather together into your cities, I will send pestilence among you, and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
26 And when I break the staff of your bread, ten women will bake your bread in one oven, and they will bring back your bread by weight, so that you will eat and not be satisfied.
27 And if in spite of all this you will not hear Me, but act contrary to Me,
28 then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I will punish you seven times for your sins.
29 For you will eat the flesh of your sons; and the flesh of your daughters you will eat.
30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of your idols, for My soul will abhor you.
31 And I will lay waste your cities and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your sweet scents.
32 I will make the land desolate so that your enemies who settle in it will be astonished over it.
33 And I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out a sword after you, and your land will become desolate and your cities will become waste.
34 Then shall the land enjoy its Sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then shall the land rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.
35 And all the days of its desolation it will observe the rest that it did not observe on your Sabbaths, while you were dwelling thereon.
36 As to those of you who remain, I will bring weakness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies.  And the sound of a driven leaf will chase them, and even when no one pursues they will flee, as though from the sword, and they will fall;
37 and they will stumble one over the other, as if from the sword, although no one is pursuing; and they will have no power to stand up before their enemies.
38 But they will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will consume them.
39 And those who may be left will pine away because of their iniquity in the land of your enemies; and also because of the iniquities of their forefathers they will pine away with them.
40 But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, with their trespasses with which they trespassed against Me, and also in acting contrary to Me,
41 and I also was acting contrary against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies; or if their uncircumcised hearts become humbled, so that they accept the punishment for their sins,
42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.
43 For the land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them.  And they shall accept the punishment for their iniquities, because they rejected My ordinances and because their souls abhorred My statutes.
44 And yet for all of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor will I so abhor them so as to utterly destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am YEHOWAH their Elohim.
45 But I will for their sake remember the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their Elohim.  I am YEHOWAH.'”
46 These are the statutes and ordinances and laws that YEHOWAH established between Himself and the children of Israel through Moses at Mount Sinai.

LEVITICUS:  CHAPTER 27

LEVITICUS: CHAPTER 27

And YEHOWAH spoke to Moses, saying,
2 “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When anyone makes themselves separate by a vow, they shall be valued according to your valuation of persons belonging to YEHOWAH.
3 And your valuation of the male from twenty years, even to sixty years old, shall be fifty shekels of silver; after the shekel of the sanctuary.
4 Or if it is a female, then your valuation shall be thirty shekels.
5 If they be from five years even to twenty years old then your valuation for the male shall be twenty shekels and for the female ten shekels.
6 But if they be from a month even up to five years old, then your valuation shall be five shekels of silver for the male, and for the female your valuation shall be three shekels of silver.
7 If from sixty years old and upward, if it is a male, then your valuation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.
8 But if they are poorer than your valuation, then they shall be placed before the priest and the priest shall value them; according to the means of the one who vowed, the priest shall value them.
9 And if it is a beast of the kind that men can present as a sacrifice to YEHOWAH, any such that one gives to YEHOWAH shall be holy.
10 They shall not replace it or exchange it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good; or if they do exchange animal for animal, then both it and its substitute shall become holy.
11 If, however, it is any unclean animal of the kind that men do not present as a sacrifice to YEHOWAH, then they shall place the animal before the priest,
12 and the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as you, the priest, value it, so it shall be.
13 But if they should ever redeem it, then they shall add one-fifth of it to your valuation.
14 And if anyone sanctifies their house as holy to YEHOWAH, then the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand.
15 Yet if the one who sanctifies it should redeem their house, then they shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may be theirs.
16 And if anyone sanctifies to YEHOWAH part of the fields of their own property, then your valuation shall be proportionate to the seed needed for it:  A homer of barley seed at fifty shekels of silver.
17 If they sanctify their field as of the year of jubilee, according to your valuation it shall stand.
18 If they sanctify their field after the jubilee, then the priest shall calculate the price for them according to the years that remain until the year of jubilee, and it shall be deducted from your valuation.
19 If the one who sanctifies it should ever wish to redeem the field, then they shall add one-fifth of your valuation price to it, so that it may pass to them.
20 But if they will not redeem the field, but have sold the field to another, it may no longer be redeemed;
21 and when it reverts in the jubilee, the field shall be holy to YEHOWAH, like a field set apart; it shall be for the priest as his property.
22 Or if they sanctify to YEHOWAH a field that they have bought, which is not a part of the field of their own property,
23 then the priest shall calculate for them the amount of your valuation up to the year of jubilee, and they shall on that day give your valuation as holy to YEHOWAH.
24 But in the year of jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was bought; to whom the possession of the land belongs.
25 Every valuation of yours shall be after the shekel of the sanctuary.  The shekel shall be twenty gerahs.
26 Only a firstborn among animals, which as a firstborn belongs to YEHOWAH, no man may sanctify; whether ox or sheep, it is YEHOWAH’S,
27 but if it be an unclean animal, then they shall redeem it according to your valuation, and add to it one-fifth of it; and if it is not redeemed, then it shall be sold according to your valuation.
28 Nonetheless, anything that anyone sets apart to YEHOWAH, out of all that they have, of man or animal or of the fields of their own property, shall not be sold or redeemed. Every devoted thing is most holy to YEHOWAH.
29 No one devoted, who has been set apart among men, shall be ransomed; they shall surely be put to death.
30 And all the tithe of the land; of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is YEHOWAH’S; it is holy to YEHOWAH.
31 If anyone wishes to redeem a part of their tithe, they shall add to it one-fifth of it.
32 For every tenth part of a herd or flock, whatever passes under the rod, the tenth one shall be holy to YEHOWAH.
33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it; or if he does change it, then both it and its substitute shall become holy.  It shall not be redeemed.'”
34 These are the commandments which YEHOWAH commanded Moses for the children of Israel at Mount Sinai.
