MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 1

MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 1

The prophecy of the Word of YEHOWAH to Israel by Malachyeh:
2 “‘I have loved you,’ says YEHOWAH, but you say, ‘How have You loved us?’ Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares YEHOWAH.   “Yet I have loved Jacob;
3 and I hated Esau, and I have made his mountains a desolation, and given his inheritance to the jackals of the wilderness.
4 Though Edom says, ‘We have been beaten down, but we will return and build again the desolate places,’ thus says YEHOWAH of hosts, ‘They may rebuild, but I will pull down, and they will call them, “The territory of wickedness, and the people against whom YEHOWAH has indignation forever.”
5 And your eyes will see, and you will say, “YEHOWAH be magnified beyond the border of Israel!”
6 A son honors his father, and a servant his lord.  If then I am a Father, where is My honor? And if I am a Master, where is My respect?’ says YEHOWAH of hosts to you, O priests who despise My Name.  But you say, “How have we despised Your Name?”
7 You offer defiled meat upon My altar. But you say, “How have we defiled You?” In that you say, “The table of YEHOWAH is contemptible.”
8 ‘And if you offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? And when you present the lame and sick, is it not evil? Offer it now to your governor; will he be pleased with you, or will he receive you kindly?’ says YEHOWAH of hosts.
9 But now, please, beseech El, that He may be gracious unto us.  This has been by your hand; will He regard your person?’ says YEHOWAH of hosts.
10 ‘Who is there even among you that will shut the doors, and not kindle fire on My alter for nothing? I have no pleasure with you,’ says YEHOWAH of hosts, ‘and I will not accept a gift from your hand.
11 For from the rising of the sun to its setting, My Name shall be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered unto My Name; and a pure sacrifice.  My Name will be great among the nations,’ says YEHOWAH of hosts.
12 ‘But you have profaned it, in that you say, “The table of Adonay is defiled, and the fruit thereof, even its meat, is contemptible.”
13 You also say, “Behold, what a weariness!” And you seethe at it,’ says YEHOWAH of hosts, ‘and you bring what was torn, and the lame, and sick; and so you bring the offering!  Should I accept this from your hand?’ says YEHOWAH.
14 ‘But Cursed be the deceiver who has in his flock a male, and vows it, but sacrifices unto Adonay a corrupt thing.  For I am a Great King,’ says YEHOWAH of hosts, ‘and My Name will be revered among the nations.'”

MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 2

And now, O priests, this commandment is for you:
2 “If you will not hear, and if you do not take it to heart to give glory to My Name,” says YEHOWAH of hosts, “then I will send a curse upon you, and I will bitterly curse your blessings.  Yes, I have bitterly cursed you, because you are not taking it to heart.
3 Behold, I will rebuke your seed and spread dung upon your faces; the dung of your feasts, and they will take you away with it.
4 And you will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that My covenant may be with Levi,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
5 “My covenant with him was of life and peace, and I gave it to him for the fear wherewith he revered Me and trembled before My Name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found on his lips.  He walked with Me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many back from sin.
7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and at his mouth they should seek the law, for he is the messenger of YEHOWAH of hosts.
8 But you have departed from the way, and have caused many to stumble at the law; you have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
9 “Therefore, I also have made you despised and base before all the people, because you have not kept My ways, but are showing partiality in the law.
10 Do we not all have one Father? Has not one El created us? Why then do we deal treacherously, each against another, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11 Yehudah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and Jerusalem, for Yehudah profanes the sanctuary of YEHOWAH, which He loved, and married the daughter of a strange el.
12 YEHOWAH will cut off from the house of Jacob any who do this; from the lord, to the teacher, and to those that present an offering unto YEHOWAH of hosts.
13 Furthermore, you also cover the altar of YEHOWAH with tears; with weeping and crying out, because He disregards your offerings and does not receive them with delight from your hand.
14 Yet you say, ‘For what reason?’ Because YEHOWAH has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously.  Yet she is your companion and wife by covenant.
15 And did He not make one, with the residue of The Spirit? And why did He make them one? That He might seek the seed of Elohim!  Take heed, therefore, to your spirit, and do not deal treacherously with the wife of your youth.
16 For YEHOWAH, the Elohim of Israel says, “I hate divorce and those who cover violence with their garments” says YEHOWAH of hosts.  “Therefore, take heed to your spirit, that you deal not treacherously.”
17 You have wearied YEHOWAH with your words.  Yet you say, “How have we wearied?” You say, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of YEHOWAH, and He delights in them,” or, “Where is the Elohim of justice?”

MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 3

MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 3

“Behold, I will send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me.  And the Master Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, and the messenger of the covenant, in Whom you delight; behold, He comes,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
2 “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fuller’s soap.
3 And He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver, and will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them like gold and silver, that they may present unto YEHOWAH an offering in righteousness.
4 Then shall the offerings of Yehudah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto YEHOWAH, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 And I will come near to you for judgment, and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against those who swear falsely, and those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, and against those who oppress the widow and the orphan, and against those who turn aside the stranger, and against those who do not revere Me,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
6 “For I, YEHOWAH, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.
7 From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My commandments and have not kept them.  Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says YEHOWAH of hosts. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’
8 “Will a man rob Elohim? Yet you are robbing Me!  But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings!
9 You are bitterly cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me; the whole nation!
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be meat in My house, and examine Me now in this,” says YEHOWAH of hosts, “if I will not open unto you the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing you are unable to store.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its fruit before its time,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
12 “And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a pleasurable land,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
13 “Your words have been firm against Me,” says YEHOWAH. “Yet you say, ‘What have we spoken against You?’
14 You say, ‘It is vain to serve Elohim, and what profit is there in keeping His charge or walking mournfully before YEHOWAH of hosts?
15 And now you call the arrogant blessed; the workers of wickedness are built up, and they that test Elohim are delivered.'”
16 Then those who feared YEHOWAH spoke to one another, and YEHOWAH gave heed and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those that feared YEHOWAH, and who esteemed His Name.
17 “And these shall be Mine,” says YEHOWAH of hosts, “on the day that I prepare My treasure, I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him.
18 Then you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked; between the one that serves Elohim and the one who serves Him not.

MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 4

MALACHYEH:  CHAPTER 4

For behold, the day is coming that will burn like a furnace, and all the proud, and all that do wickedly, will be stubble, and the day that comes will burn them up,” says YEHOWAH of hosts, “so that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But to you who fear My Name, the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its wings, and you will go forth and grow like calves from the stall.
3 And you will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I will do this,” says YEHOWAH of hosts.
4 “Remember the Law of Moses My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel; including the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I am sending Eliyeh the prophet before the coming of the great and fearful day of YEHOWAH,
6 and he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”
