PSALM:  76

  To the chief musician, on stringed instruments; a Psalm or song of Asaph:
Elohim is known in Yehudah.  His Name is great in Israel.
2 In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Zion.
3 There He broke the arrows of the bows; the shield and the sword and the battle.  Selah.
4 You are resplendent, more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
5 The stouthearted are plundered, they slept their sleep, and none of the men of might can use their hands.
6 At Your rebuke, O Elohim of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7 You, even You, are to be feared, and who may stand in Your presence when once You are angry?
8 You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still,
9 when Elohim rose up for judgment, to save all the humble of the earth.  Selah.
10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; with a remnant of wrath You will gird Yourself.
11 Vow, and pay unto YEHOWAH your Elohim.  And let all who are round about Him bring presents unto Him Who is to be feared.
12 He will cut off the spirit of princes; He is revered by the kings of the earth.

PSALM:  77

  To the chief musician, a laudatory; a Psalm of Asaph:
I cried unto Elohim with my voice; unto Elohim with my voice, and He gave ear unto me.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought Adonay; in the night my strength was poured out, and ceased not, and my soul refused to be comforted.
3 I remembered Elohim and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed.  Selah.
4 You hold open my eyelids; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 I have considered the days of old; the years of ancient times;
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night; I commune with my own heart, and my spirit made diligent search.
7 Will Adonay forsake forever? And will He be favorable no more?
8 Is His lovingkindness gone forever? Does His promise come to an end forevermore?
9 Has El forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender love?  Selah.
10 And I said, “This is my infirmity, that I remember the years at the right hand of the Most High.”
11 I will remember the works of YEH; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.
12 I will meditate also on all Your work, and ponder upon Your deeds.
13 Your way, O Elohim, is holy, who is such a great El as our Elohim?
14 You are the El Who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the people.
15 You have, with Your power, redeemed Your people; the children of Jacob and Yehseph.  Selah.
16 The waters saw You, O Elohim; the waters saw You; they were afraid; the deeps also trembled.
17 The clouds poured out water; the skies sent out a sound; Your arrows also went abroad.
18 The voice of Your thunder was in the heavens; the lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
19 Your way was in the sea, and Your paths in the great waters, and Your footsteps are not known.
20 You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

PSALM:  78

  A poem of Asaph:
Give ear, O my people, to my law; incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old,
3 which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.
4 We will not hide them from the children, showing to the generations to come the praises of YEHOWAH, and His strength, and His wondrous works that He has done.
5 For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children;
6 that the generations to come might know, and that the children yet to be born, should rise up and declare them to their children;
7 that they would set their hope in Elohim, and not forget the works of El, but keep His commandments,
8 and not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that did not set their heart right, and whose spirit was not steadfast to El.
9 The children of Ephraim were armed, carrying bows, and turned back in the day of battle.
10 They kept not the covenant of Elohim and refused to walk in His law,
11 and forgot His works and His wonders that He has shown them.
12 Marvelous things did He in the sight of their fathers in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.
13 He divided the sea and caused them to pass through, and He made the waters to stand as a heap.
14 In the daytime also He led them with the cloud, and by night with a light of fire.
15 He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink, as from the great depths.
16 He brought forth streams also from the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.
17 And they sinned yet more against Him, by provoking the Most High in the wilderness.
18 And they tested El in their heart, by asking meat according to their desire.
19 Yes, they spoke against Elohim; they said, “Can El set a table in the wilderness?
20 Behold, He struck the rock and waters gushed out, and streams overflowed; can He give bread also? Can He provide meat for His people?”
21 Therefore YEHOWAH heard, and was full of wrath, and a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel,
22 because they believed not in Elohim, and trusted not in His deliverance.
23 Though He had commanded the clouds above, and opened the doors of heaven,
24 and had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the wheat of heaven;
25 man did eat the food of angels; He sent them food to the full;
26 He caused an east wind to blow in the heavens, and by His power He brought in the south wind.
27 He rained meat also upon them as dust, and feathered fowl as the sand of the sea,
28 and He let them fall in the midst of their encampment, round about their dwellings.
29 So they ate and were well filled, for He gave them their own desire.
30 They were not estranged from their lusts, for while the meat was yet in their mouths,
31 the wrath of Elohim came upon them, and killed the fattest of them, and struck down the chosen of Israel.
32 Through all this they sinned still, and believed not in His wonderful works.
33 Therefore their days He consumed in vanity, and their years in trouble.
34 When He killed them, then they sought Him, and returned and inquired early after El.
35 And they remembered that Elohim was their Rock, and the Most High El their Redeemer.
36 Nevertheless, they deceived Him with their mouth and they lied to Him with their tongues,
37 for their heart was not right with Him, nor were they faithful in His covenant.
38 But He, being compassionate, forgave their sins, and destroyed them not, and many times turned His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath.
39 For He remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passes away, and comes not again.
40 How often did they provoke Him in the wilderness and grieve Him in the desert!
41 They turned back and tempted El, and grieved The Holy One of Israel.
42 They remembered not His power, nor the day when He delivered them from the enemy;
43 how He set His signs in Egypt and His wonders in the field of Zoan,
44 and turned their rivers to blood, and their streams, they could not drink.
45 He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them, and frogs, which destroyed them.
46 He gave also their increase to the grasshopper, and their labor to the locust.
47 He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamore trees with frost.
48 He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.
49 He cast upon them the fierceness of His anger, wrath, indignation and trouble, by sending evil messengers.
50 He made a path for His anger; He spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence,
51 and smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the first issue of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham.
52 But He made His own people go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock,
53 and He led them on safely, so that they feared not.  But the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
54 And He brought them to the border of His sanctuary; even to this mountain, which His right hand had procured.
55 He cast out the nations also before them, and divided unto them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.
56 Yet they tempted and provoked the Most High Elohim, and kept not His testimonies,
57 but turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers; they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.
58 For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their graven images.
59 When Elohim heard, He was filled with wrath, and greatly abhorred Israel,
60 so that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh; the tent which He placed among men,
61 and gave up His strength to captivity, and His glory into the enemy’s hand.
62 He gave His people over also unto the sword, and was filled with wrath toward His inheritance.
63 Fire consumed their young men, and their maidens were not given in marriage.
64 Their priests fell by the sword, and their widows made no lamentations.
65 Then Adonay awakened as if from sleep; like a mighty man shouts by reason of wine.
66 And He struck His enemies from behind, and He put them to everlasting reproach.
67 Moreover He rejected the tabernacle of Yehseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim,
68 but chose the tribe of Yehudah; Mount Zion which He loves.
69 And He built His sanctuary like the heights; like the earth which He has established forever.
70 He also chose David His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;
71 from following the ewes with lambs, and He brought him to shepherd Jacob His people, and Israel His inheritance.
72 So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

PSALM:  79

  A Psalm of Asaph:
O Elohim, the nations have come into Your inheritance; they have defiled Your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps.
2 The dead bodies of Your servants they have given to the birds of the heavens; the flesh of Your saints to the beasts of the earth.
3 Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem, and there was none to bury them.
4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors; a scorn and derision to those that are round about us.
5 How long, O YEHOWAH? Will You be angry forever? Will Your jealousy burn like fire?
6 Pour out Your wrath upon the nations that have not known You, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon Your Name,
7 for they have devoured Jacob and laid waste his dwelling place.
8 O remember not former iniquities; let Your tender mercies quickly come to us, for we are brought very low.
9 Help us, O Elohim of our deliverance, for the glory of Your Name, and deliver us and take away our sins for Your Name’s sake.
10 Why should the nations say, “Where is their Elohim?” O be known among the nations in our sight by the revenging of the blood of Your servants, which they have shed.
11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of Your power preserve those appointed to die.
12 And render unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom the reproach with which they have reproached You, O Adonay,
13 so we Your people, and the sheep of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever.  We will show forth Your praise to all generations.

PSALM:  80

  To the chief musician, with trumpets; a Psalm of Asaph:
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel; You Who lead Yehseph like a flock; You Who dwell between the cherubim; shine forth!
2 Before Ephraim and Benyehmin and Manasseh, stir up Your might; come and save us!
3 Turn unto us again, O Elohim, and cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.
4 O YEHOWAH Elohim of hosts, how long will You be angry against the prayer of Your people?
5 You feed them with the bread of tears, and give them tears to drink in great measure.
6 You make us contend with our neighbors, and our enemies laugh among themselves.
7 Turn unto us again, O Elohim of hosts, and cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.
8 You have brought a vine out from Egypt; You cast out the nations and planted it.
9 You prepared a place before it, and caused it to take deep root; and it filled the land.
10 The hills were covered with its shadow, and the boughs of it were like the cedars of El.
11 It sent forth its boughs unto the sea, and its branches unto the river.
12 Why have You broken down its hedges, so that all who pass by the way gather of it?
13 The boar out of the forest lays it waste, and the wild beasts of the field feed on it.
14 Return, we beseech You, O Elohim of hosts; regard us again from heaven, and visit this vine,
15 and the vineyard, which Your right hand has planted, and the branch that You made strong for Yourself.
16 It is burned with fire; it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Your countenance.
17 Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand; upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself,
18 so that we will not turn back from You; revive us, and we will call upon Your Name.
19 Turn unto us again, O YEHOWAH Elohim of hosts; cause Your face to shine, and we will be saved.

PSALM:  81

  To the chief musician, upon the harp; a Psalm of Asaph:
Sing for joy unto Elohim our strength; shout for joy unto the Elohim of Jacob.
2 Lift up a song, bring forth the tambourine; the delightful harp with the lyre.
3 Sound the trumpet at the new moon; at the appointed time of our solemn feast days,
4 for this is a statute for Israel; a judgment of the Elohim of Jacob.
5 He ordained it for a testimony in Yehseph, when he went our through the land of Egypt, where he heard a language that he knew not.
6 “I removed the burden from his shoulder; his hands were delivered from the pots.
7 You called in trouble and I delivered you; I answered you under the cover of thunder; I proved you at the waters of Meribah.  (Selah)
8 Hear, O My people, and I will witness unto you; O Israel, if you will hear Me!
9 There shall no strange el be in you; neither shall you worship any strange el.
10 I, YEHOWAH, your Elohim, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide and I will fill it.
11 But My people will not hear My voice, and Israel would have none of Me.
12 So I gave them up to the lusts of their heart, and they walked in their own counsel.
13 Oh that My people would hear Me; that Israel would walk in My ways!
14 I would soon have subdued their enemies, and turned My hand against their adversaries.
15 The haters of YEHOWAH should have submitted unto Him, that their time could have endured forever,
16 and He would have fed them with the finest of the wheat; and with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you.”

PSALM:  82

  A Psalm of Asaph:
Elohim stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the elohim,
2 “How long will you judge unjustly, and regard the face of the wicked?  (Selah)
3 Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy;
4 deliver the poor and needy; pluck them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither do they understand; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I said, ‘You are elohim! All of you are children of the Most High.
7 But you will die as common sort, and fall like one of the princes.’”
8 Rise up, O Elohim, judge the earth, for You shall inherit all nations.

PSALM:  83

  A Song or Psalm of Asaph:
Keep not quiet, O Elohim, hold not Your silence, and be not still, O El,
2 for behold, Your enemies make an uproar, and those that hate You lift up their head.
3 In cunning they counsel against Your people, and consult against Your protected ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.”
5 For they have consulted together with one heart, and are in confederacy against You.
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrite;
7 Gebal, Ammon and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Asshur also is joined with them; they have become a help to the children of Lot. Selah
9 Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as unto Sisera and Jabin at the brook of Kishon,
10 who perished at En-Dor, and became as manure for the soil.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us possess for ourselves the houses of Elohim.”
13 O my Elohim, make them like the whirlwind; as the stubble before the wind;
14 like fire burns wood, and like a flame that sets the mountains on fire.
15 So pursue them with Your tempest, and terrify them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your Name, O YEHOWAH.
17 Let them be disappointed and troubled forever, and let them be ashamed and perish,
18 that they may know that You alone, Whose Name is YEHOWAH, are the Most High over all the earth.

PSALM:  84

  To the chief musician, upon the Harp; a Psalm of the sons of Korah:
How beloved is Your house, O YEHOWAH of hosts!
2 My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of YEHOWAH; my heart and my flesh cry out to the living El.
3 Yes, the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest where she may lay her young; even Your altars, O YEHOWAH of hosts, my King and my Elohim.
4 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They will evermore be praising You. Selah
5 Blessed are they whose strength is in You; whose heart is a viaduct.
6 Passing through the valley of Baca they make it a well; the rain also fills it with blessings.
7 They go from strength to strength in Zion, appearing before Elohim.
8 O YEHOWAH Elohim of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O Elohim of Jacob!  Selah
9 Behold, O Elohim, our shield, and look upon the face of Your anointed,
10 for a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.  I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my Elohim, than dwell in the tents of wickedness,
11 for YEHOWAH Elohim is a sun and shield; YEHOWAH will give grace and glory. Nothing good will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
12 O YEHOWAH of hosts, blessed are they who trust in You!

PSALM:  85

  To the chief musician; a Psalm of the sons of Korah:
YEHOWAH, has been favorable to Your land; You have turned back the captivity of Jacob.
2 You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin.  Selah
3 You withdrew all Your wrath; You turned from the fierceness of Your wrath.
4 Turn back to us, O Elohim of our deliverance, and cause Your anger with us to cease.
5 Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations?
6 Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?
7 Show us Your lovingkindness, O YEHOWAH, and grant us Your salvation.
8 I will hear what El YEHOWAH will say, for He will speak peace to His people; to His saints, but let them not turn back again to folly.
9 Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.
10 Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed.
11 Truth springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 Yes, YEHOWAH will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before Him, and will make a path for His footsteps.

PSALM:  86

  A Prayer of David:
Bow down Your ear, O YEHOWAH, and give heed to me, for I am afflicted and needy.
2 Preserve my soul, for I am a pious soul.  O You my Elohim, save Your servant who trusts in You.
3 Be merciful unto me, O Adonay, for I cry unto You; I cry the whole day.
4 Brighten the soul of Your servant, for unto You, O Adonay, I do lift up my soul.
5 For You, Adonay, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all who call upon You.
6 Give ear, O YEHOWAH, to my prayer, and incline to the voice of my supplications!
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.
8 Among the elohim, there is none like You O Adonay, nor are there any works like unto Your works.
9 All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Adonay, and they shall glorify Your Name,
10 for You are great and do wondrous works; You alone are Elohim.
11 Teach me Your way, O YEHOWAH; I will walk in Your truth.  Unite my heart to fear Your Name.
12 I will give thanks to You, O Adonay my Elohim, with all my heart, and will glorify Your Name forever,
13 for great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
14 O Elohim, the arrogant have risen against me, and the congregations of the violent seek for my soul; they have not set You before them.
15 But You, O Adonay, are an El full of compassion and grace; long-suffering, and abundant in mercy and truth.
16 Turn to me, and have mercy upon me.  Give Your strength to Your servant, and save the son of Your handmaid.
17 Show me as a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed, because You, O YEHOWAH, have helped me and comforted me.

PSALM:  87

  A Psalm or Song of the sons of Korah:
His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2 YEHOWAH loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of Elohim.  Selah
4 “I will mention Rahab and Babylon to those that know Me; behold, Philistia and Tyre with Ethiopia; ‘Mankind was born there.’”
5 But of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”, and the Most High Himself will establish her.”
6 YEHOWAH will count when He records the people, “This one was born there.”  Selah
7 And the singers and those who play on instruments will say, “All my springs are in you.”

PSALM:  88

  A Song or Psalm of the sons of Korah, to the chief musician, upon sickness or depression; a poem for the faithful seed:
O YEHOWAH Elohim of my deliverance, I have cried day and night before You.
2 Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry!
3 For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near unto the grave.
4 I am regarded amongst those who going down to the pit; I am as one having no strength,
5 exempt amongst the dead like the slain that lie in the grave, whom You remember no more, and who are cut off from Your hand.
6 You have placed me in the lowest pit in darkness; in the depths.
7 Your wrath leans hard upon me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. Selah
8 You have put my acquaintances far from me; You have made me abominable to them.  I am shut up and cannot go forth.
9 My eyes mourn from misery.  O YEHOWAH, I call daily upon You, and have stretched out my hands to You.
10 Will You do wonders for the dead? Will the dead rise up and praise You?  Selah
11 Will Your mercy be declared in the grave, or Your faithfulness in destruction?
12 Will Your wonders be made known in the dark, and Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
13 But unto You have I cried, O YEHOWAH, and in the morning shall my prayer come before You.
14 O YEHOWAH, why do You cast off my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?
15 I was afflicted and dying from my youth; I suffer Your fear; I am distracted.
16 Your fierce wrath crosses before me; Your terrors cut me off.
17 They are round about me daily like water; they encompass me round about altogether.
18 Lover and friend You have put far from me, and my acquaintances are in darkness.

PSALM:  89

  A poem of Ethan the Ezrahite:
I will sing of the mercy of YEHOWAH forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
2 For I have said, “Mercy will be built up forever; Your faithfulness will You establish in the heavens.”
3 “I have made a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant,
4 ‘Your seed will I establish forever, and build up your throne to all generations.’” Selah.
5 The heavens will praise Your wonders, O YEHOWAH; Your faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints,
6 for who in the heavens is comparable to YEHOWAH? Who among the children of the mighty is like YEHOWAH;
7 an El greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and revered by all those about Him?
8 O YEHOWAH Elohim of hosts, who is mighty YEH compared to You, or faithful to all about You?
9 You rule the raging of the sea.  When the waves of it rise up, You still them.
10 You have crushed Rahab in pieces, as one who is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.
11 The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; the world and the fullness of it, You have founded them.
12 The north and the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in Your Name.
13 You have a mighty arm and strong is Your hand, and exalted is Your right hand.
14 Righteousness and judgment inhabit Your throne.  Mercy and truth go forth before Your face.
15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound!  They will walk, O YEHOWAH, in the light of Your countenance.
16 In Your Name shall they rejoice all the day, and in Your righteousness they will be exalted.
17 For You are the glory of their strength, and in Your favor our horn shall be exalted.
18 For YEHOWAH is our defense, and the Holy One of Israel is our King.
19 When You spoke in vision to the pious one you said, “I lay help upon the mighty; I exalt the chosen from the people.
20 I have found David My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him,
21 with whom My hand will be established; My arm also will strengthen them.
22 The enemy will not exact interest from him, nor will the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 I will bruise his enemies before his face, and plague those that hate him,
24 but My faithfulness and My mercy will be with him, and in My Name will his horn be exalted.
25 I will also set his hand on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
26 He will cry to Me, ‘You are my Father; My El, and the rock of my salvation.’
27 Also I will make him My firstborn; higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My favor will I keep for him forever, and My covenant will be established with him.
29 His seed also will I preserve forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake My law, and walk not in My judgments,
31 if they break My statutes, and keep not My commandments,
32 then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Yet I will not utterly take My lovingkindness from him, nor allow My faithfulness to fail.
34 I will not break My covenant, nor alter the utterances of My lips.
35 Once have I sworn by My Holiness, that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
37 It will be established forever like the moon, and a faithful witness in the heavens.” Selah
38 But You have cast off and rejected; You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.
39 You have voided the covenant of Your servant; You have profaned his crown to the ground;
40 You have broken down all his walls; You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
41 All that pass by the way plunder him; he has become a reproach to his neighbors.
42 You have upheld the right hand of his adversaries; You have made all his enemies rejoice.
43 You have also turned back the edge of his sword, and have not made him rise up in the battle.
44 You have made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 The days of his youth You have shortened; You have covered him with shame. Selah
46 How long, YEHOWAH? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your wrath burn like fire?
47 Remember how short my time is, and why You have made all the children.
48 What person lives, and not see death? Can they deliver their soul from the power of the grave? Selah
49 Adonay, where is Your former mercy, which You swore unto David in Your truth?
50 Remember, Adonay, the reproach of Your servants; how I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many people;
51 with which Your enemies have reproached, O YEHOWAH; with which they have reproached the footsteps of Your anointed.
52 Blessed be YEHOWAH forevermore!  Amen and Amen.

PSALM:  90

  A Prayer of Moses, the man of Elohim:
Adonay, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or before You formed the earth or the world; even from everlasting to everlasting, You are El.
3 You turn man into dust and say, “Return, O children of men.”
4 For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, or like a watch in the night.
5 You carry them away as with a flood; they are as asleep.  In the morning they are like grass, which springs up.
6 In the morning it flourishes and springs up; in the evening it is cut down and withers,
7 for we are consumed by Your anger, and in Your wrath we tremble.
8 You have set our iniquities before You; our secrets in the light of Your countenance,
9 for all our days are passed away in Your wrath; we end our years as a thought.
10 The days of our years are seventy, or if by might they be eighty years, yet their strength is labor and sorrow, for they are soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knows the power of Your anger and wrath, in accordance with the reverence due You?
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
13 Return, O YEHOWAH; how long? And let it repent You concerning Your servants.
14 O satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us, and the years we have seen evil.
16 Let Your work appear to Your servants and Your glory to their children,
17 and let the grace of Adonay our Elohim, be upon us; and establish the work of our hands; yes, You establish the work of our hands.

PSALM:  91

They who dwell in the secret place of the Most High, will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of YEHOWAH, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my Elohim, in Whom is my trust!”
3 Surely He will deliver you from the net of the snare, and from the ruin of the pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings is your refuge.  His truth is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes will you behold and see the reward of the wicked,
9 because you have made YEHOWAH your refuge; the Most High, your dwelling place.
10 No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near unto your dwelling,
11 for He will give His angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands, that you do not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample under your feet.
14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him.  I will set him on high, because he has known My Name.
15 He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With a long life I will satisfy him, and show him My deliverance.”

PSALM:  92

  A psalm or song for the Sabbath day:
It is good to give thanks unto YEHOWAH, and to sing praises unto Your Name, O Most High;
2 to tell of Your mercy in the morning, and Your faithfulness at night,
3 upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; and upon the harp, with a solemn sound,
4 for You, YEHOWAH, have made me glad through Your work.  I will sing out at the works of Your hands.
5 O YEHOWAH, how great are Your works!  Your thoughts are very deep.
6 A brutish man knows nothing; neither does a fool understand this:
7 When the wicked spring up like the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish; it is so they shall be destroyed forevermore.
8 But You, O YEHOWAH, are on high forevermore,
9 for, behold, Your enemies, O YEHOWAH; for, behold, Your enemies will perish; all the workers of iniquity will be scattered.
10 But my horn You will exalt like the horn of a wild bull, and I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
11 My eye also shall see my desire upon my enemies; my ears shall hear my desire for the wicked that rise up against me.
12 The righteous will flourish like the palm tree; they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that are planted in the house of YEHOWAH will flourish in the courts of our Elohim.
14 They will still bring forth fruit in old age; they will be fat and flourishing,
15 to declare that YEHOWAH is upright.  He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

PSALM:  93

YEHOWAH reigns; He is clothed with majesty; YEHOWAH is clothed with strength, and He has girded Himself.  The world also is established; that it cannot be moved.
2 Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O YEHOWAH; the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 YEHOWAH on high is mightier than the thunder of many waters; yes, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Your testimonies are firmly established.  Holiness becomes Your house, O YEHOWAH, forevermore.

PSALM:  94

O YEHOWAH, El to Whom vengeance belongs; O El, to Whom vengeance belongs, show Yourself.
2 Lift Yourself up, You Judge of the earth; render what is deserved to the proud.
3 O YEHOWAH, how long will the wicked; how long will the wicked triumph?
4 How long will they utter and speak arrogantly, so that all the workers of iniquity boast of themselves?
5 They crush Your people, O YEHOWAH, and afflict Your heritage.
6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7 Yet they say, “YEH shall not see, nor does the Elohim of Jacob regard it.”
8 Understand, you brutish among the people, and you fools; when will you gain wisdom?
9 He who fastened the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see?
10 He who chastens the nations, shall He not rebuke; even He who teaches man knowledge?
11 YEHOWAH knows the thoughts of mankind, that they are vain.
12 Blessed are they whom You chasten, O YEH, and whom You teach out of Your law;
13 that You may give them rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For YEHOWAH will not cast off His people, nor will He forsake His inheritance.
15 But judgment will turn back to the righteous, and the upright in heart will follow it.
16 Who will rise up for me against evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 Unless YEHOWAH had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
18 When I said, “My foot is slipping,” Your mercy, O YEHOWAH, held me up.
19 In the abundance of my thoughts within me, Your comfort delights my soul.
20 Shall the throne of wickedness fellowship with You, Who frames iniquity by a law?
21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
22 But YEHOWAH is my defense; and my Elohim is the rock of my refuge.
23 And He will bring upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness; YEHOWAH our Elohim will cut them off.

PSALM:  95

O come, let us sing unto YEHOWAH.  Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms,
3 for YEHOWAH is a great El, and a great King above all elohim.
4 In His hand are the deep places of the earth; the strength of the hills is His also.
5 The sea is His, for He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before YEHOWAH our Maker,
7 for He is our Elohim, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.  Today, if you will hear His voice,
8 do not harden your heart, as at Meribah; as in the day of temptation in the wilderness,
9 when your fathers tempted Me, tested Me, and saw My work.
10 Forty years long I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They are a people who err in their heart, and they do not know My ways.’
11 So I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest.

PSALM:  96

Sing unto YEHOWAH a new song; sing unto YEHOWAH, all the earth.
2 Sing unto YEHOWAH; bless His Name; declare His deliverance from day to day.
3 Tell of His glory among the nations; His wonders among all the people,
4 for YEHOWAH is great, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all elohim.
5 For all the elohim of the nations are idols, but YEHOWAH made the heavens.
6 Glory and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
7 Give unto YEHOWAH, O you families of the people; give unto YEHOWAH glory and strength.
8 Give unto YEHOWAH the glory due unto His Name; bring an offering and come into His courts.
9 O, Worship YEHOWAH in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
10 Say among the nations, “YEHOWAH reigns; in Whom the world also is firmly established; it will not be moved.  He will judge the people righteously.”
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and all it contains;
12 let the field be joyful, and all that are therein.  Then shall all the trees of the forest rejoice
13 before YEHOWAH, for He comes; for He comes to judge the earth!  He will judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth.

PSALM:  97

YEHOWAH reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of islands be glad.
2 Clouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 Fire goes before Him, and burns up His enemies round about.
4 His lightning enlightened the world; the earth saw and trembled.
5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of YEHOWAH; at the presence of Adonay of the whole earth.
6 The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the people see His glory.
7 Let all those be ashamed that serve graven images, and boast themselves of idols. Worship Him, all you elohim.
8 Zion heard, and was glad, and the daughters of Yehudah rejoiced because of Your judgments, O YEHOWAH.
9 For You, YEHOWAH, are Most High above all the earth; You are exalted far above all elohim.
10 You who love YEHOWAH, hate evil.  He preserves the souls of His pious ones; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be glad in YEHOWAH, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

PSALM:  98

  A Psalm:
O sing to YEHOWAH a new song, for He has done marvelous things.  His right hand and His holy arm have gotten Him the victory.
2 YEHOWAH has made known His deliverance; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
3 He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the deliverance of our Elohim.
4 Make a joyful noise unto YEHOWAH, all the earth.  Make a loud noise and rejoice, and sing praises.
5 Sing praises unto YEHOWAH with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and the sound of coronets, make a joyful noise before YEHOWAH, the King,
7 Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and those that dwell thereon.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together
9 before YEHOWAH, for He is coming to judge the earth.  With righteousness He will judge the world, and the people with equity.

PSALM:  99

YEHOWAH reigns, let the people tremble; He sits between the cherubim, let the earth be moved.
2 YEHOWAH is great in Zion, and He is exalted above all the people.
3 Let them praise Your great and reverent Name, for He is holy.
4 The King’s strength also loves justice; You have established equity; You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 Exalt YEHOWAH our Elohim, and worship at His footstool, for He is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron among His priests, and Samuel was among those who call upon His Name; they called upon YEHOWAH and He answered them.
7 He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; they kept His testimonies, and the ordinance that He gave them.
8 You answered them, O YEHOWAH our Elohim; You are the El that forgave them, although You took vengeance upon their deeds.
9 Exalt YEHOWAH our Elohim, and worship at His holy hill.  YEHOWAH our Elohim is holy.

PSALM:  100

  A Psalm of praise:
Shout joyfully unto YEHOWAH, all the nations.
2 Serve YEHOWAH with gladness; come to His presence with joyful singing.
3 Know that YEHOWAH Himself is Elohim; it is He Who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise.  Give thanks to Him, and bless His Name,
5 for YEHOWAH is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth to all generations.

PSALM:  101

  A Psalm of David:
I will sing of mercy and justice.  To You, O YEHOWAH, I will sing forth praises.
2 I will act wisely and in a blameless way.  When will You come to me? I will walk in my house with integrity in my heart.
3 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who turn aside; it will not cleave to me.
4 A crooked heart will depart from me; I will not know evil.
5 Whoever in private slanders their neighbor, those will I destroy.  No one who has a lofty look or a proud heart will I endure.
6 My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me.  Those who walk without blemish are they who will minister to me.
7 Those that act deceitfully shall not dwell within my house; those who speak lies will not maintain their position before me.
8 Every morning I will destroy all the wicked of the land, so as to cut off from the city of YEHOWAH all those who do iniquity.

PSALM:  102

  A prayer for the afflicted, when they are faint and pour out their complaint before YEHOWAH:
Hear my prayer, O YEHOWAH, and let my cry come unto You.
2 Hide not Your face from me in the day of my trouble; incline Your ear to me; in the day when I call, answer me with haste,
3 for my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as in a hearth.
4 My heart is smitten and withered like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread.
5 By reason of the sounds of my groaning, my bones cleave to my skin.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am like an owl in a desolate place.
7 I watch, and am like a sparrow alone upon the housetop.
8 My enemies reproach me all day long; those who deride me use my name as a curse.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
10 because of Your indignation and Your wrath, for You have lifted me up and cast me down.
11 My days are like a shadow that declines, and I am withered like grass.
12 But You, O YEHOWAH, shall endure forever, and remembrance of Your Name to all generations.
13 You will rise up and show compassion toward Zion; for it is time to favor her; yes, the established time has come,
14 For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and favor her dust;
15 so the nations will fear the Name of YEHOWAH, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.
16 For YEHOWAH will build up Zion, and He will appear in His glory.
17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
18 And this is written for generations to come, that a people yet to be created may praise YEH.
19 For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven YEHOWAH beheld the earth,
20 to hear the groaning of the prisoner; to set free those who were appointed to death;
21 to declare the Name of YEHOWAH in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem,
22 when the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve YEHOWAH.
23 He has weakened my strength along the way; He has shortened my days.
24 I say, “O my El, do not take me away in the midst of my days, Your years are throughout all generations.
25 Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 They will perish, but You endure, and all of them will wear out like a garment, but like a garment You will change them, and they will be changed.
27 But You are the same, and Your years have no end.
28 The children of Your servants will continue, and their seed will be established before You.”

PSALM:  103

  A Psalm of David:
Bless YEHOWAH, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy Name.
2 Bless YEHOWAH, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits;
3 Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases;
4 Who redeems your life from the pit; Who crowns you with mercy and compassion;
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
6 YEHOWAH executes righteousness and judgment for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.
8 YEHOWAH is compassionate and gracious; slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
9 He will not always chide, neither will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities,
11 for as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who revere Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, thus far has He removed our sins from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so YEHOWAH has compassion on those who revere Him.
14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are but dust.
15 As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes,
16 for the wind passes over it, and it is no more, and the place of it knows it no more.
17 But the mercy of YEHOWAH is from everlasting to everlasting on those who revere Him, and His righteousness to children’s children,
18 to those who keep His covenant and remember His commandments, to do them.
19 YEHOWAH has established His throne in the heavens, and His dominion rules over all.
20 Bless YEHOWAH, you His angels, mighty in strength, who do His commandments, heeding the voice of His word!
21 Bless YEHOWAH, all you His hosts; you who serve Him, that do His will.
22 Bless YEHOWAH, all His works, in all places of His dominion; Bless YEHOWAH, O my soul!

PSALM:  104

Bless YEHOWAH, O my soul! O YEHOWAH my Elohim, You are very great; You are clothed with glory and majesty,
2 covering Yourself with light as with a garment; stretching out the heavens like a curtain.
3 You laid the beams of Your chambers in the waters; You make the clouds Your chariot; You walk upon the wings of the wind;
4 You make the winds Your messengers; Your ministers a flaming fire.
5 You laid the earth upon its foundations, so that it would not be removed forever.
6 You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.
7 At Your rebuke they fled; at the sound of Your thunder they hastened away.
8 The mountains rose up, the valleys dropped down to the place that You established for them.
9 You set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they may not turn again to cover the earth.
10 You send forth fountains in the valley, which flow between the mountains,
11 which give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.
12 By them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.
13 He waters the mountains from His upper chambers; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.
14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herbs for the labor of man, so that he may bring forth food from the earth,
15 and wine that makes the heart of man glad, and oil, to make his face glisten, and food which sustains man’s heart.
16 The trees of YEHOWAH drink their fill, the cedars of Lebanon which He planted,
17 where the birds make their nests, and the stork, whose home is the fir trees.
18 The high mountains are a refuge for the wild goats; the rocks for the conies.
19 He appointed the moon for the seasons; the sun knows its setting.
20 You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the beasts of the forest creep.
21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from El.
22 When the sun rises, they gather themselves together, and lay down in their dens.
23 Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until the evening.
24 O YEHOWAH, how many are Your works? In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your riches.
25 So there is this great and wide sea, in which are swarms without number; beasts both small and great.
26 There go the ships; there too is that Leviathan, whom You have made to play in it.
27 These all wait for You, to give them their meat in due season.
28 You give to them, they gather it up; You opened Your hand, they are filled with good.
29 You hide Your face, they are troubled; You take away their breadth, they die and return to their dust.
30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; and You renew the face of the ground.
31 The glory of YEHOWAH shall endure forever; YEHOWAH will rejoice in His works.
32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 I will sing to YEHOWAH as long as I live; I will sing praise to my Elohim while I have my being.
34 My meditation of Him shall be sweet; I will be glad in YEHOWAH.
35 Let sinners be consumed out of the earth and let the wicked be no more.  Bless YEHOWAH, O my soul.  Praise you YEH!

PSALM:  105

Oh give thanks unto YEHOWAH, call upon His Name; make known His deeds among the people.
2 Sing to Him, sing psalms unto Him; speak of all His wondrous works.
3 Glory you, in His holy Name; let the heart of those rejoice that seek YEHOWAH.
4 Seek YEHOWAH and His strength; seek His face evermore.
5 Remember His wonders which He has done; His wonders and the judgments of His mouth,
6 O seed of Abraham, His servant; O children of Jacob, His chosen ones!
7 He is YEHOWAH our Elohim; His judgments are in all the earth.
8 He has remembered His covenant forever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations,
9 which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac.
10 And He confirmed it to Jacob for a law; to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 saying, “Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance,”
12 when they were but a few men in number, very few, and strangers in it.
13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people,
14 He allowed no man to do them wrong.  Yes, He reproved kings for their sake, saying,
15 “Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.”
16 Moreover, He called for a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
17 He sent a man before them, even Yehseph, who was sold as a slave;
18 whose feet they hurt with fetters.  He was laid in irons,
19 until the time that his word came; the Word of YEHOWAH tried him.
20 The king sent and loosed him, the ruler of people, and let him go free.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance,
22 to bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his senators wisdom.
23 Israel also came into Egypt, thus Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 And He increased His people greatly, and made them stronger than their enemies.
25 He turned their heart to hate His people; to deal deceitfully with His servants.
26 He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen.
27 They showed His signs among them, and wonders in the land of Cham.
28 He sent darkness and made it dark, and they did not rebel against His words.
29 He turned their waters into blood and killed their fish.
30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, even into the chambers of their kings.
31 He spoke, and there came diverse sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33 He struck their vines also, and their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their coasts.
34 He spoke, and locusts came, and caterpillars; and that without number,
35 and did eat up all the green grass in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 He struck also the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among the tribes.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.
40 They asked, and He brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 He opened the rock and the water gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
42 For He remembered His holy word with Abraham His servant,
43 and He brought forth His people with joy; His chosen ones with a joyful shout.
44 He gave them also the lands of the nations, that they might take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor;
45 that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws.  Praise YEH!

PSALM:  106

Praise YEH! Oh give thanks unto YEHOWAH, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
2 Who can speak of the mighty deeds of YEHOWAH, or who can show forth all His praise?
3 Blessed are they who keep justice; who do righteousness at all times!
4 Remember me, O YEHOWAH, with Your favor that You bear toward Your people; visit me with Your salvation,
5 that I may see the good of Your chosen; that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation; that I may glory with Your inheritance.
6 We have sinned like our fathers; we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
7 Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; they did not remember the multitude of your mercies, but provoked Him at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
8 Nevertheless He saved them for His Name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known.
9 He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up, and He led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10 And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 And the waters covered their enemies; there was not one of them left.
12 Then they believed His words; they sang His praise.
13 They quickly forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel,
14 but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted El in the desert.
15 And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.
16 And they envied Moses in the camp, and Aaron the saint of YEHOWAH.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
19 They made a calf in Horeb and worshiped a molten image.
20 Thus they exchanged their glory for the image of an ox that eats grass.
21 They forgot El their Deliverer, Who had done great things in Egypt,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham and fearful things by the Red Sea.
23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, lest He should destroy.
24 Then they despised the pleasant land; they believed not His word,
25 but murmured in their tents, and listened not to the voice of YEHOWAH.
26 Therefore He lifted up His hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness,
27 to overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
28 They joined themselves also to Baal-Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 Thus they provoked Him to anger with their acts; their deeds, and the plague broke out among them.
30 Then stood up Phinehas, who executed judgment; and so the plague was stayed,
31 and it was reckoned to him for righteousness, to all generations forevermore.
32 They angered Him also at the waters of Meribah, so that it went ill with Moses for their sake,
33 because they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.
34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom YEHOWAH commanded them,
35 but were mingled with the nations and learned their works,
36 and they served their idols, which were a snare unto them.
37 Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the devil,
38 and shed innocent blood; the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Kanaan, and the land was polluted with the blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went whoring with their own works.
40 Therefore was the wrath of YEHOWAH kindled against His people, insomuch that He abhorred His own inheritance,
41 and He gave them into the hand of the nations, and they that hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.
43 Many times did He deliver them, but they provoked Him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless He regarded their affliction when He heard their cry,
45 and He remembered His covenant for their sake, and repented according to the multitude of His mercies.
46 He also made them to be pitied of all those that carried them captive.
47 Save us, O YEHOWAH our Elohim, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to Your holy Name, and to triumph in Your praise.

PSALM:  107

Oh give thanks to YEHOWAH, for He is good; for His mercy is everlasting.
2 Let the redeemed of YEHOWAH say, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
3 and gathered from the lands; from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south,
4 “They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

20 He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths; their soul is melted because of misery.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

29 He causes the storm to be calm, so that the waves of the sea are still.

32 Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the assembly of the elders.
33 He turns rivers into a wilderness, and the springs of water into a dry ground;
34 a fruitful land into barrenness, because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.
35 He turns a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into springs of water,
36 and there He makes the hungry to dwell, so that they may prepare a city for habitation,
37 and sow the fields and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
38 He blesses them also, and they multiply greatly, and He does not allow their cattle to decrease.
39 Again they are diminished and brought low through oppression, misery and sorrow.

O Elohim, my heart is set.  I will sing, and give praise, even with my glory.
2 Awake, lyre and harp; I will awake early!
3 I will praise You, O YEHOWAH, among the peoples, and I will sing praises unto You among the nations,
4 for Your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds.
5 Be exalted, O Elohim, above the heavens, and Your glory above all the earth,
6 that Your beloved may be delivered.  Save with Your right hand, and answer me.
7 Elohim has spoken in His holiness: “I will exult; I will divide Shechem and measure out the valley of Sukkoth.
8 Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the strength of My head; Yehudah is My law giver.
9 Moab is My washbowl; over Edom will I cast out My shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.”

Hold not Your peace, O Elohim of my praise,
2 for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me; they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
3 They encompassed me round about with words of hatred, and fought against me without cause.
4 For my love they are my adversaries, but I give myself unto prayer.
5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6 Set a wicked person over them, and let Satan stand at their right hand.
7 When they are judged, let them be condemned, and let their prayer become sin.
8 Let their days be few; let others take their office.

22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

PSALM:  110

  A Psalm of David:
YEHOWAH said unto my Adonay, “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”
2 YEHOWAH will put forth the rod of Your strength from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”
3 Your people will be willing in the day of Your power; in the beauty of holiness, from the womb of the morning, shall come to You as the dew of Your youth.
4 YEHOWAH has sworn and will not repent, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
5 Adonay at Your right hand will shatter kings in the day of His wrath.
6 He will judge among the nations; He will fill them with dead bodies; He will pierce the rulers of many countries;
7 He will drink from the brook in the way, therefore He will lift up the head.

PSALM:  111

Praise YEH! I will worship YEHOWAH with all my heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
2 The works of YEHOWAH are great; sought after by all who delight in them.
3 His work is glorious and magnificent, and His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has done His wonderful works to be remembered; YEHOWAH is gracious and full of compassion.
5 He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant.
6 He has shown His people the power of His works, that He may give them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of His hands are truth and judgment; all His commandments are sure;
8 they stand fast forever and ever; they are done in truth and uprightness.
9 He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever; Holy and revered is His Name.
10 The fear of YEHOWAH is the beginning of wisdom.  A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.  His praise endures forever.

PSALM:  112

Praise YEH!  Blessed are they who fear YEHOWAH, who delight greatly in His commandments.
2 His seed will be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in their house, and their righteousness will endure forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness, for He is gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 It is well with those who are gracious and lend; He will guide their affairs with justice.
6 Surely, they will not be moved forever.  The righteous will be remembered forever.
7 They will not fear evil reports, for their heart is fixed, trusting in YEHOWAH.
8 Their heart is established; they will not fear, even until they look with satisfaction upon their enemies.
9 They have given freely to the poor; their righteousness shall endure forever; their horn will be exalted in honor.
10 The wicked will see it and be grieved; they will gnash their teeth and melt away; the desires of the wicked will perish.

Praise YEH!  Praise, O you servants of YEHOWAH; praise the Name of YEHOWAH!
2 Blessed be the Name of YEHOWAH from this time forth and forevermore.
3 From the rising of the sun to its setting, YEHOWAH’S Name is to be praised.
4 YEHOWAH is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens.

PSALM:  114

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language,
2 Yehudah was His sanctuary; Israel His dominion.
3 The sea looked and fled; the Jordan was driven back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams; the hills like lambs.
5 What ails you, O sea that you flee? O Jordan that you turn back?
6 O mountains that you skip like rams? O hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of Adonay; at the presence of the Eloah of Jacob,

I love YEHOWAH, because He hears my voice and my supplications.

Blessed are those who are undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of YEHOWAH.

4 where the tribes go up; the tribes of YEH, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks to the Name of YEHOWAH.

  A song of ascension:
Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You that dwells in the heavens!
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their lords, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to YEHOWAH our Elohim, until He shall have mercy upon us.

PSALM:  124

“If it had not been YEHOWAH Who was on our side,” now let Israel say,

Those who trust in YEHOWAH are as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides forever.
2 As the mountains encircle Jerusalem, so YEHOWAH encircles His people from this time forth and forever.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the righteous, unless the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
4 Do good, O YEHOWAH, unto those who are good, and unto those who are upright in their hearts.

  A song of ascension:
When YEHOWAH turned back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.  Then said they among the nations, “ YEHOWAH has done great things for them.”
3 YEHOWAH has done great things for us; therefore we are glad.
4 Turn back again our captivity, O YEHOWAH, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 They that go forth weeping, bearing precious seed, shall indeed come again with rejoicing, bringing in their sheaves.

PSALM:  127

  A song of ascension, of Solomon:
Unless YEHOWAH builds the house, they labor in vain that build it.  Unless YEHOWAH guards the city, the watchman remains awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of grief, for He gives to His beloved even in their sleep.
3 Behold, children are an inheritance of YEHOWAH; the fruit of the womb is a reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.
5 Happy is the man whose quiver is full of them.  They will not be ashamed, but will speak with their enemies in the gate.

  A song of ascension:
Blessed is everyone that fears YEHOWAH; that walks in His ways.
2 For you shall eat of the produce of your hands; you will be happy and it will be well with you.

4 Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears YEHOWAH.

“Many times they have afflicted me from my youth,” let Israel now say,

4 YEHOWAH is righteous; He has cut in two the cords of the wicked.
5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O YEHOWAH.

3 If You, YEH, should mark iniquities, O Adonay, who could stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be revered.
5 I wait for YEHOWAH; my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope.

O YEHOWAH, You have searched me and known.

YEHOWAH, I cry unto You, hasten unto me!  Give ear unto my voice when I cry unto You.
2 Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
3 Set a watch, O YEHOWAH, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing; to practice wicked deeds with those who do iniquity, and let me not eat of their dainties.
5 Let the righteous smite me in kindness, and reprove me; it will be an excellent oil, which will not break my head, for yet my prayer is for them in their calamities.
6 When their judges are thrown down in stony places, they will hear my words, for they are sweet.

  A poem of David; a prayer when he was in the cave:
I cried unto YEHOWAH with my voice; with my voice unto YEHOWAH did I make my supplication.
2 I poured out my complaint before Him; I declared before Him my trouble.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, You knew my path.  In the way where I walked they have secretly laid a snare for me.
4 I looked to my right, and beheld, there was no one there that would know me. Retreat failed me; no one cared for my soul.

2 my goodness and my fortress; my high tower and my deliverer; my shield and He in Whom I trust; Who subdues my people under me.
3 YEHOWAH, what is mankind, that You take knowledge of them? Or the children of man, that You regard them?
4 Mankind is like emptiness; their days are like a shadow that passes away.
5 Bow Your heavens, O YEHOWAH, and come down; touch the mountains, and they will smoke.
6 Cast forth lightning and scatter them; send out Your arrows and destroy them.
7 Stretch forth Your hand from above; deliver me and rescue me out of great waters, from the hand of heathen children
8 whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
9 I will sing a new song unto You, O Elohim.  Upon a psaltery of ten strings I will sing praises unto You
10 Who gives salvation to kings; Who delivers David His servant from the evil sword.
11 Deliver me and rescue me from the hand of heathen children, whose mouths speak lies, and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood,
12 that our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth, and our daughters as corner stones, polished in the form of a palace;
13 that our garners may be full, furnishing all manner of store; that our flocks may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;
14 that our cattle may be strong to labor; that there be no breaking in, or going out; that there be no outcry in our streets!
15 Happy are the people who are in such a case.  Happy are the people whose Elohim is YEHOWAH!

PSALM:  145

  David’s psalm of praise:
I will exalt You, my Elohim, O King, and I will bless Your Name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your Name forever and ever.
3 Great is YEHOWAH, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.
5 I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wondrous works.
6 Mankind shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness;
7 they shall abundantly utter the memory of Your great goodness, and will sing of Your righteousness.
8 YEHOWAH is gracious and full of compassion; slow to anger and of great mercy;
9 YEHOWAH is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall praise You, O YEHOWAH, and Your saints shall bless You.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power;
12 to make known to the children of men Your mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of Your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
14 YEHOWAH upholds all who fall, and raises up all who bow down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon You, and You give them their meat in due season.
16 You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 YEHOWAH is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His deeds.
18 YEHOWAH is near to all who call upon Him; to all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who revere Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 YEHOWAH preserves all those who love Him, but all the wicked will He destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of YEHOWAH, and all flesh will bless His holy Name forever and ever.

PSALM:  146

Praise YEH!  Praise YEHOWAH, O my soul!
2 I will praise YEHOWAH while I live; I will sing praises unto my Elohim while I have my being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, or in the children of man, in whom there is no deliverance.
4 Their breath departs, they return to the earth; in that very day their thoughts perish.
5 Happy are they who have the El of Jacob, whose hope is in YEHOWAH his Elohim,
6 Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever;
7 Who executes judgment for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. YEHOWAH frees the prisoners;
8 YEHOWAH opens the eyes of the blind; YEHOWAH raises up those who bow down; YEHOWAH loves the righteous;
9 YEHOWAH preserves the sojourners; He lifts up the fatherless and the widow, but the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
10 YEHOWAH will reign forever; Your Elohim, O Zion, to all generations.  Praise YEH!

PSALM:  147

Praise YEH!  For it is good to sing praises unto our Elohim; for it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.
2 YEHOWAH builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel;
3 He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds;
4 He appoints the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.
5 Great is our Adonay, and of abundant strength; His understanding is infinite.
6 YEHOWAH lifts up the meek; He casts the wicked down to the ground.
7 Sing unto YEHOWAH with thanksgiving; sing praises upon the harp unto our Elohim,
8 Who covers the heavens with clouds; Who prepares rain for the earth; Who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.
9 He gives to the beast its food, and to the young ravens which cry.
10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man;
11 YEHOWAH takes pleasure in those who fear Him; in those who hope in His mercy.
12 Praise YEHOWAH, O Jerusalem; praise your Elohim, O Zion,
13 for He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you;
14 He makes peace in your borders; He fills you with the finest of the wheat;
15 He sends forth His commandment to the earth; His word runs very swiftly.
16 He gives snow like wool; He scatters the covering frost like ashes;
17 He casts forth His ice like morsels.  Who can stand before His cold?
18 He sends forth His word and melts them; He causes His wind to blow, and the waters to flow;
19 He declares His words unto Jacob; His statutes and His ordinances unto Israel.
20 He has not dealt so with any nation,; and as for His judgments, they have not known them.  Praise YEH!

PSALM:  148

Praise YEH!  Praise YEHOWAH from the heavens; praise Him in the heights;
2 Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts;
3 Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars of light;
4 Praise Him, heaven of heavens, and you waters that are above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the Name of YEHOWAH, for He commanded, and they were created.
6 He has also established them forever and ever; He has made a decree, which will not pass.
7 Praise YEHOWAH from the earth, you sea-monsters, and all deeps.
8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds, stormy wind fulfilling His word;
9 mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,
10 beasts and all cattle, creeping things and winged fowl,
11 kings of the earth, and all people; princes and all judges of the earth,
12 both young men and maidens, elderly and children,
13 let them praise the Name of YEHOWAH, for His Name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven.
14 He also lifts up the horn of His people; the praise of all His saints, even of the children of Israel, a people near to Him.  Praise YEH!

PSALM:  149

Praise YEH!  Sing unto YEHOWAH a new song, and His praise in the congregation of the saints.
2 Let Israel be glad in Him that made him; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise His Name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with tambourine and harp,
4 for YEHOWAH takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the meek with deliverance.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing for joy upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of El be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
7 to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishment upon the people;
8 to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 to execute upon them the judgment written.  This honor is for all His saints.  Praise YEH!

PSALM:  150

Praise YEH!  Praise El in His sanctuary.  Praise Him in the firmament of His power.
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts.  Praise Him according to His excellent greatness.
3 Praise Him with the sound of trumpets.  Praise Him with lyre and harp.
4 Praise Him with timbrels and dancing.  Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals.  Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise YEH.  Praise YEH!
