1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 1

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the assembly at Thessalonica in El the Father and the Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach; grace to you, and peace.
2 We give thanks to Elohim always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;
3 unceasingly remembering your work of faith and labor of love, and enduring hope in our Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, in the presence of our El and Father;
4 knowing beloved brethren, your choice of Elohim.
5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in The Holy Spirit, and with much assurance; just as you know what manner of men we were among you, for your sake.
6 And you also became imitators of us and of the Master, having received the word in much tribulation with the joy of The Holy Spirit,
7 so that you became examples to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
8 For from you sounded forth the word of the Master, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward Elohim has gone abroad, so that we have no need to say anything.
9 For they themselves declare to us what manner of entrance we had with you, and how you turned to Elohim from idols to serve the living and true Elohim,
10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead:  YEHOSHUA, who delivers us from the wrath to come.

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 2

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 2

For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain,
2 but even after we had already suffered and been shamefully treated in Philippi, as you know, we were bold in our Elohim, and spoke to you the gospel of Elohim amid much conflict.
3 For our exhortation was neither erroneous, nor unclean, nor from deceit;
4 but as we are allowed by Elohim, and entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing mankind, but Elohim Who examines our hearts.
5 For we never used flattering words, as you know, or under the pretense of greed.  Elohim is witness.
6 Nor did we seek glory from mankind, either from you or from others, even though as apostles of the Messiah we might have been burdensome.
7 But we were gentle among you, as a nurse cherishes her own children.
8 And in this way, being earnestly desirous of you, we were pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of Elohim, but also our own lives, because you are dear to us.
9 For you remember brethren, our labor and toil; how working night and day, so as not to be a burden to any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of Elohim.
10 You are witnesses, and Elohim, how piously, and justly, and blamelessly, we behaved among you who believe;
11 just as you know how we exhorted, and encouraged, and testified, to each one of you, as a father his own children,
12 so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the Elohim Who has called you into His kingdom and glory.
13 For this reason also we thank Elohim unceasingly, because when you received the word of Elohim, which you heard from us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of Elohim, which also effectually works in you who believe.
14 For you, brethren, became imitators of the assembly of Elohim in Messiah YEHOSHUA that is in Yehudah; for you also have suffered the same things at the hands of your own countrymen, even as they from the Yehudi,
15 who both killed the Master YEHOSHUA, and the prophets, and persecuted us.  And they do not please Elohim, but are in opposition to all of mankind,
16 preventing us from speaking to the Gentiles, so that they may be saved; so that they may always fill up their sins.  But wrath shall come upon them to the utmost.
17 But we, brethren, being taken away from you for a short while, in person but not in heart, endeavored more abundantly, with great desire, to see your face.
18 For we would have come to you, I Paul, once and again, but the devil hindered us.
19 For who is our hope, or joy, or crown of boasting? Is it not even you in the presence of Master YEHOSHUA at His coming?
20 For you are our glory and joy!

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 3

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 3

Therefore when we could no longer endure, we thought it best to be left at Athens alone,
2 and we sent Timothy, our brother and servant of Elohim, and co-laborer in the gospel of Messiah, to strengthen and comfort you concerning your faith,
3 so that no one would be disturbed by these afflictions.  For you yourselves know that we have been appointed for this.
4 For indeed, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we would suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, as you know.
5 For this reason, when I could endure no longer, I also sent to know your faith, lest by any means the tempter might have tempted you, and our labor would be in vain.
6 But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and has brought us the good news of your faith and love, and that you always have kind remembrance of us, yearning to see us just as we also to see you;
7 for this reason, brethren, in all our distress and tribulation, we were comforted over you through your faith.
8 For now we live, if you stand fast in the Master.
9 For what thanks can we render to Elohim for you, in return for all the joy with which we rejoice on account of you before our Elohim,
10 as we night and day pray most abundantly, that we might see your face, and may perfect what is lacking in your faith?
11 Now may our El and Father Himself and our Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach direct our way to you.
12 And may the Master make you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also for you,
13 to the end that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our El and Father at the coming of our Master YEHOSHUA with all His saints.

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 4

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 4

Furthermore, we beseech and exhort you brethren, in Master YEHOSHUA, that as you received from us, as to how you ought to walk and please Elohim (just as you do walk), that you abound more and more.
2 For you know what commandments we gave you from Master YEHOSHUA.
3 For this is the will of Elohim:  Your sanctification, that you abstain from fornication;
4 that each of you should know how to possess your own vessel in sanctification and honor,
5 not in lustful passions, like the Gentiles who do not know Elohim;
6 that none go beyond and defraud their brethren in any matter, because the Master avenges for all these things, just as we also forewarned and solemnly testified.
7 For Elohim has not called us to uncleanness, but to purity.
8 Those therefore, who reject this, are not rejecting man, but Elohim, Who gives His Holy Spirit to you.
9 Now concerning the love of the brethren, you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by Elohim to love one another;
10 and indeed you show it toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia.  But we urge you, brethren, to abound more and more,
11 striving earnestly to abide quietly, and attend to your own work, with your own hands, just as we commanded you,
12 so that you may walk honestly toward those without, and have need of nothing.
13 But we do not want you to be ignorant brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the others who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that YEHOSHUA died and rose again, even so Elohim will bring forth those who have fallen asleep in YEHOSHUA with Him.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Master, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Master Himself will descend from heaven with a shout; with the sound of the archangel, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Master in the air.  And so we shall forever be with the Master.
18 Therefore, comfort one another with these words.

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 5

1 THESSALONIANS:  CHAPTER 5

But as to the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write to you.
2 For you know perfectly well that the day of the Master will come like a thief in the night,
3 while they are saying, “Peace and safety!”  Then destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains upon a woman with child; and they will not escape.
4 But you brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief,
5 for you are all children of light, and children of day.  We are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep as others, but let us be vigilant and sober,
7 for those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night.
8 But let us who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For Elohim has not appointed us for wrath, but for obtaining deliverance through our Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach,
10 Who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
12 And we beseech you brethren, that you know those who labor among you, and are set over you in the Master, and admonish you;
13 and that you esteem them very highly in love, for their work’s sake.  And be in peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you brethren, warn the unruly, comfort the fainthearted, support the weak, and show patience toward everyone.
15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always pursue that which is good for one another and for all.
16 Rejoice always.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In everything give thanks, for this is Elohim’s will in Messiah YEHOSHUA for you.
19 Do not quench The Spirit.
20 Do not despise prophecy,
21 but prove everything.  Hold fast to that which is good,
22 abstain from all appearance of evil,
23 and the very Elohim of peace Himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach.
24 Faithful is He Who calls you, Who also will do it.
25 Brethren, pray for us.
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27 I adjure you by the Master to have this letter read to all the brethren.
28 The grace of our Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach be with you.
