1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 1

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 1

Paul, an apostle of YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach according to the commandment of Elohim our Deliverer, and of YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, Who is our hope,
2 To Timothy, sincere child of faith;  Grace, mercy and peace from El the Father and YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach our Master.
3 As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain at Ephesus, so that you may instruct some not to teach other doctrines,
4 or to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause questions rather than edifying Elohim, which is in faith.
5 But the goal of our command is love from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and a sincere faith.
6 For some, having swerved, have turned aside to idle babble,
7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say, nor about which they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully,
9 knowing this, that the law is not made for the righteous, but for the lawless and disobedient; for the irreverent and for sinners; for the unholy and profane; and for those who kill their fathers or mothers; and for murderers,
10 fornicators, homosexuals, kidnappers, liars and perjurers; and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed Elohim, which was entrusted to me.
12 I thank Messiah YEHOSHUA our Master, Who has enabled me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 who was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and injurious.  Yet I received mercy, because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,
14 and the grace of our Master was exceedingly abundant with the faith and love that are in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
15 It is a faithful saying, worthy of full acceptance, that Messiah YEHOSHUA came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
16 Yet for this cause I was shown mercy, so that in me as the foremost, YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them who would hereafter believe on Him unto eternal life.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible; the only wise Elohim, be honor and glory forever and ever.  Amen!
18 This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, according to the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you might fight the good fight,
19 holding faith and a good conscience, which some, having put away concerning faith, are now shipwrecked.
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 2

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 2

First of all, therefore, I urge that petitions, prayers, supplications and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all mankind,
2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all reverence and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of El our Deliverer,
4 Who desires all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one Elohim, and one Mediator between Elohim and mankind, the Man Messiah YEHOSHUA;
6 Who gave Himself a ransom for all; the testimony at the proper time.
7 To which I am ordained a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth in Messiah, and lie not); as a teacher to the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8 I purpose therefore, that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or doubt.
9 In like manner also, that women should adorn themselves in modest apparel, reverently and soberly, not with braided hair, and gold, or pearls, or very costly clothing,
10 but (as is becoming women professing reverence) through good works.
11 Let the woman learn quietly with all subjection,
12 but do not permit a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain silent.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman, being deceived, was in transgression.
5 But women will be preserved in childbearing, if they continue in faith, and love, and holiness with sobriety.

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 3

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 3

This is a trustworthy saying:  If any man aspires to the office of an overseer, it is a good work he desires.
2 An overseer, then, must be irreproachable; a man of one woman; sober, modest, given to hospitality; able to teach;
3 not given to wine or hitting; not greedy for illicit gain, but patient; not a brawler; not covetous,
4 but one that rules well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (But if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how shall he care for the assembly of Elohim?)
6 not a young convert, lest being lifted up with pride, he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good testimony with those outside the assembly, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise, deacons must be honorable; not double-tongued; not given to much wine; not greedy for illicit gain,
9 but holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
10 And let these first be proven, then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless.
11 In the same way, women must be honorable, not slanderers, but sober, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be men of one woman, ruling their children and their own households well.
13 For those who serve well as deacons acquire for themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith, which is in Messiah YEHOSHUA.
14 These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly.
15 But if I am delayed long, I write so that you will know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of Elohim, which is the assembly of the living Elohim; the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And without controversy, great is the mystery of reverence:  El was manifest in the flesh, justified in The Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 4

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 4

Now The Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils;
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared, as with a branding iron;
3 forbidding marriage; and abstaining from foods that Elohim has created to be received with thanksgiving, by those who believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of Elohim is good, and nothing is to be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving,
5 for it is sanctified by the Word of Elohim and prayer.
6 In reminding the brethren of these things, you will be a good minister of Messiah YEHOSHUA, nourished up in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine, to which you have attained.
7 But avoid wicked and old wives fables, and exercise yourself rather unto reverence,
8 for bodily exercise profits little, but reverence is profitable for all things; having promise for the life that now is, and for that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance,
10 for it is for this we both labor and suffer reproach, because we hope on the living Elohim, Who remains the Deliverer of all mankind, particularly those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no one disesteem your youth, but be an example unto the believers in word, in conversation, in love, in The Spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Until I come, attend to the reading, to exhortation, and to teaching.
14 Do not neglect the miraculous power within you, which was given you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the elders.
15 Meditate upon these things; give yourself wholly to them, so that your progress will be manifest to all.
16 Take heed to yourself, and to the doctrine, abiding in them; for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and those who hear you.

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 5

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 5

Rebuke not an elder, but exhort as a father; the younger men as brothers;
2 the elder women as mothers; the younger women as sisters, with all purity.
3 Honor widows who are widows indeed,
4 but if any widow has children or grandchildren, let those first learn piety at home, and to render a return to their parent, for this is good and acceptable before Elohim.
5 Now, she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusts in Elohim, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day,
6 but she who lives in luxury is dead even while she lives.
7 Speak these things also, so that they may be blameless.
8 But if anyone does not provide for their own, and especially for those of their own household, they have denied the faith, and are worse than an infidel.
9 Let not a widow be taken onto the roll if she is less than sixty years, having been the wife of one man,
10 well reported of for having good works; if she has brought up her children; if she has been hospitable to strangers; if she has washed the saints’ feet; if she has relieved the afflicted; and if she has diligently followed every good work.
11 But refuse the younger widows, for when they have sensual desires outside of Messiah, they will marry,
12 incurring condemnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
13 And then, they also learn to be idle, wandering from house to house; and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
14 I purpose therefore, that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, and give no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully,
15 for some have already turned aside after Satan.
16 If anyone of the faith has a dependent widow, they must assist them and burden not the assembly, so that it may assist those who are widows indeed.
17 Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine,
18 for the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it is threshing,” and “Do not oppress the wage earner in their wages.” 1
19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder except before two or three witnesses.
20 Those in sin rebuke in the presence of all, so that the others may also fear.
21 I charge you before Elohim and the Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without preference, doing nothing by partiality.
22 Do not lay hands upon anyone hastily, nor partake in the sins of others.  Keep yourself pure.
23 No longer drink water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent sicknesses.
24 The sins of some humans are quite evident, going before them to judgment; for others it follows.
25 Likewise also, the good works of some become manifest beforehand, and those which are otherwise cannot be hidden.

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 6

1 TIMOTHY:  CHAPTER 6

Let as many slaves who are under the yoke, regard their own lord’s as worthy of all honor, that the Name of Elohim, and the doctrine, will not be blasphemed.
2 Those having believers as their lord’s must not despise them, because they are brethren, but all the more must serve them, because they are faithful and beloved, who partake of the benefit.  These things teach and exhort!
3 If anyone teaches differently, and does not agree with sound words; those of our Master YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach, and with the doctrine which is according to reverence;
4 they are proud, knowing nothing, but have a diseased appetite over questions and disputes of words, out of which comes envy, strife, blaspheme, evil suspicions,
5 and perverse disputes between people of corrupt minds; and destitute of the truth, who suppose that reverence is a means of gain.
6 But reverence with contentment is a means of great gain,
7 for we have brought nothing into the world, and it is certain that we cannot carry anything out either.
8 And having food and clothing, let us be content with these.
9 But those desiring wealth fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, which plunge people into destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all forms of evil, which some, coveting after, have been led astray from the faith, and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
11 But you, O child of Elohim, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, reverence, faith, love, perseverance and meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and have made a good profession in the presence of many witnesses.
13 I charge you in the sight of Elohim, Who gives life to all things, and of Messiah YEHOSHUA, Who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 that you keep the commandment without spot, blameless until the appearing of our Master  YEHOSHUA ha Mashiach,
15 which in His time He will show; Who is the blessed and only Ruler; the King of kings and Master of lords;
16 Who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light; Whom no human has seen or can see; to Whom be honor and eternal dominion.  Amen!
17 Command those who are rich in this present world, not to be high-minded, or to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living Elohim, Who richly furnishes us with all things to enjoy;
18 to do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, and willing to communicate,
19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may take hold of eternal life.
20 O Timothy, keep that which has been entrusted to you, avoiding profane and fruitless discussions in opposition to what is falsely called science,
21 which some professing, have erred concerning the faith.  Grace be with you.  Amen!
